Seems DomYngBlk, mnottertail, and jlf1961, would have pointed out a few things I would have, let me just say this: Your taking an 'international offshore industry newsletter', but do not give the SOURCE. For all I know, you made it up: quote:
ORIGINAL: MasterCord "Despite President Obama's moratorium on U.S. deepwater drilling in the Gulf of Mexico, the U.S. Export-Import Bank intends to guarantee $1b in loans to PEMEX, the Mexican state oil company, to bolster the company's offshore oil drilling activities in the region. The bank, which is the official American export credit agency, loaned more than $1b to PEMEX in 2009 -- when the company was the bank's largest borrower -- in support of its drilling activities." Let me give you an example of how dangerous this 'mode of reasoning' is: "Despite the claims Sarah Palin has made previously, she really is related to a monkey's uncle! Likewise, most members of the Tea Party have tested positive to the 'stupid gene' recently uncovered at a university in Europe. It seems this 'stupid gene' has grown, much like cancer in those who do not get healthy does of 'reality' in to their bloodstream" Oh, it came from some 'international super genetics industry newsletter' I found recently. The point is, that unless you give the the source, its easy to dismiss your arguement. Given that your arguement is best summed up as 'heavily bias towards Republicans/Tea Party', it isn't to hard of a guess, your 'source' is also heavily bias. A source, is one that anyone can examine for facts and credibility. It does not have to be accessible on the web, if its in print form, but does help your arguement. Simply goggling 'Quoting Sources and Refrences', to get the basic idea. Given the amount of lies, misinformation, and inaccurate details, on such a regular basis from the Republican Party/Tea Party; its fair to say, most liberals and moderates, dont take what a conservative states at face value anymore. Hence, the need to produce the source, to which your quoting.
