Having just seen pictures of Christine O'Donnell, the woman who beat Mike Castle in a Delaware Republican primary, it does seem that some of the Tea Party candidates are really rather attractive. Now there are rumors flying around that O'Donnell took part in some type of "satanic" ritual. I guess I'm a bit of a dinosaur, but the old 70s idea that some women say no, no, no to sex, when they're really meaning yes, yes, yes, by dressing provocatively or using sexual innuendo is rearing its ugly head here.
From my perspective, if Sharron Angle says that "masturbation is a sin", well, I'm not going to take it too seriously, because she really doesn't do a lot for me in the sex appeal department. But Christine O'Donnell? I will lay very long odds that she figures in a number of her supporters nightly fantasies and emissions- sort of a "domme appeal" if you will. And the combination of her personal dabbling with witchcraft coupled with a "masturbation is a sin" viewpoint presents either blatant hypocrisy (always possible in a political candidate) or a somewhat veiled and with plausible deniability- using sex appeal to attract male voters- never mind her platform. Seems very reminiscent of Sarah Palin....Since the Republicans have courted male voters and Democrats have counted on women voters- could the burgeoning sex appeal of some Tea Party candidates be an attempt to cash in on this trend?
I haven't followed many of the Tea Party candidates, but I do find it interesting that some of the most discussed individuals have a lot of sex appeal (exception of Sharron Angle noted.) Is this just a statistical fluke- or is the Tea Party really picking people that appear to voters prurient interests?
