MissAsylum -> Are You Popular? (9/21/2010 3:54:08 AM)

I watched this video this morning randomly:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eqpe7Y_6rmQ

i swear i think its the CUTEST thing, and I couldn't help but to think pervy little things about the dialog- "she's into girls as much as she's into boys.", "want to meet me back stage?","maybe they'll pick up another couple".

but looking at it from a somewhat serious perspective- what aspects of dating(i couldn't care less about the popularity portion) do you personally believe are outdated in a good way and what parts do you think should be brought back(in a perfect world) when it comes to dating?

*** and aside from the blatant sexism- i just think mr brad is just gay in this one:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VOxGRuKFwJg&feature=related

People still 'date'?  No way!!!  I thought the whole idea was to get to know someone from a distance so you don't have to waste time being in the same room with someone who might bore you.  All from the comfort of your own home.

Then, you don't have to 'date', you just have a relationship.

I think girls could use the advice of not accepting dates at the last minute. I also think having overly long phone conversations at first is a bad idea. I think it is very nice for a woman to reciprocate for the man paying for the activities on the date by packing a lunch, or inviting a man to dinner. I do not do dutch except on blind dates.... I find other ways to reciprocate. (although I broke all of these rules when I met and started seeing Sinergy... we had hours long phone conversations, our first date was planned in advance, but I allowed him to buy me breakfast the first hour we met in person, and we had sex on the first date... he found me to be very popular with him[:D])

hey things happen with the right person. i also broke every rule i had when i met my boyfriend:
  1. don't have sex on the first date.
  2. don't let him pay.
  3. don't kiss on the lips on the first date
don't invite him inside the house this is out of order of course, but him swept me off my feet like nobody's business. and that was....3 years ago. so i think things go case by case.

and the hours of convo before a date even takes place- i'd say no to that one.

He lived 5 hours away from me, and we started talking on the phone, and we just couldn't stop. We never had trouble finding stuff to talk about
