allnewtome -> Hello from Scotland (9/23/2010 3:53:00 PM)

Hello everyone. I kindoff discovered BDSM by accident about a year ago. My other half pushed buttons I didn't know existed. Since then we have gone our seperate ways but I feel like something has awakened inside me. I am eager to find out more about my new found self and make like minded friends. It is so difficult having no one to talk to about all this.

Not the best choice of username I know. All the original ones I wanted were taken. Didn't realise my mistake until the mails started

Dont worry about the abundance of emails...its more because you are "new"
as opposed to having new in your name. It may die down some in a week or so.

Thank you for your reply. It has given me hope. Not been too bad actually. Not as bad as I expected after my mistake was pointed out to me. Most people have been very respectful at least. Started to die down now......... well for now at least.

[sm=welcomewave.gif] to CM and the boards.  Because you're new and a lot of  people check by "joined date" that tends to up the cmails at first.  Once your name drops off there, it'll lessen to a more manageable level.  So, it's as Twinkletoes said, don't worry about it.

Being new to this, just be careful in who you agree to meet and don't expect to meet the one right away.  It can take time and trust has to be built up over time before you hand youserlf over to someone.  With that said, good luck in your search.

Ah, that explains it. I was thinking "how do they know" makes sense now though. I am looking for info and somewhere to feel at home. Not looking for a relationship, other than friendship, for the forseeable future anyway. Hopefully when/if that time comes I will have a better feel for what I am looking for and where to look for it. Thank you

Read thru the threads, find something that interests you, go thru old and newer threads, there's a lot of good info to be had.  You can also use the search feature at the top right and look for a topic that is of interest to you.  Meanwhile, there's fun to be had to, just head to the Polls and Random Stupidity, that's where you'll find the inane, the insane, the wacky and the fun fun fun.

Welcome to CM You could delete your account now and change your name, make a fresh start, you keep the same name as long as you keep the profile!

allnewtome -> RE: Hello from Scotland (9/25/2010 8:15:36 AM)

Thanks everyone for making me so welcome. There is a lot of good information on here.

OAM. I have though about deleting my account and starting again but for now it is lessening so I think I'll just grin and bear it. Besided if I made a new account it would start over again.
