Irish terrorism threat level increased to substantial.

Status: offline 		That's orange with flourescent yellow stripes in usa terms.


This is essentially a result of the continued splintering of the remaining IRA factions into smaller, more extreme, less controlled factions, as the main IRA has shut down to support political means instead.

Most specifically it's

As with most, the name comes heavy with oldIRA history.

Which is the retards who like bombs who (violently) split off from the (also splintering) organised crime side of the Continuity Irish Republican Army, which was one of the groups that split from the infamous post war IRA as they didn't like them going political.

There's also a splinter group from the Real IRA using the same name, but they mostly claim stuff under the RIRA name still.

They're said to be very eager, but far from competent....which shows in their 'attempted bombings:deaths' ratio.

Most of these guys, as you say, have been around for a while already.
Issuing warnings about a bombing to steer victims down to where the bomb was. Classy.

Status: offline 		Nah, the RIRA didn't split until '97, CIRA was initially a political (as much as the IRA was political back then) split in the 80s.
I reckon the militant sides of RIRA & CIRA were friendly enough some years ago, but these guys aren't exactly CIRA no more, they and the crime side of things broke away a few years ago. Ended up shooting each other arguing over who'd get which weaponry.

As a supporter of Irish Republicanism and someone who wants to see a United Ireland someday but not by mindless thuggery, bombing and random acts of violence, their actions are disgusting and disgraceful. These people are traitors to the Republican cause.  They seem not to have learned that the IRA bombing campaign in Britain and N.Ireland did nothing for Republicanism at all and made the prospect of a United Ireland less likely. It did nothing for their credibility within the Irish republic either. These people have no mandate and no support in the south nor the north.  When is it going to register in their thick moronic skulls that a United Ireland will only come about when the MAJORITY of the population of the North give their CONSENT to do so. This is what both Government s have agreed on and what 99.7% of people North and South agreed on in the Good Friday agreement.  What is even more repulsive is that Women are getting involved too. You would think that these Ladies would have maternal compassion for those who lose a child, or a brother or sister through violence and would thus not want to inflict that on another family. But no these people are heartless morons, they are traitors. In a week which saw the unjust execution of a mentally retarded Lady, who could not Doctors showed be held fully accountable for Her actions as She was not fully with it, these guys deserve to be shot for their continued wrong doing and evil actions and they know who they are. They are nauseating

Its the ICBINRIRAIRA also known as the "I can't believe its not Real IRA" IRA.
