At a time when it was laying off teachers and looking into closing down churches, the Roman Catholic Diocese of Portland (Maine) donated half a million dollars to anti-gay campaigns.

Sigh . . .

Ah, the Catholic Church...obstacles to advancement in science and social justice since whatever year the damn thing was founded.

Any organization that equates molesting children with ordaining women as "grave sins" gives its own recommendation of insanity.

Spoken as one who used to want to be a nun.

There is nothing wrong here.

The Catholic Church just likes those that enter the priesthood and have a fondness for little boys.
