Be CAREFUL if you do this. I don't think anyone's mentioned this yet in this thread, so I'm weighing in with it. You can cause whiplash and head injuries if you hit someone's face as hard as a good smack on the butt. Also, if she has an ear/sinus infection, strep, any kind of above-the-neck infection, NO SLAPPING PERIOD. Just don't. Even if she's told you she's ok for rough play.

face slapping is a disciplinary action like any other in this house. note i said discipline, not punishment. it is meant to be a wake up call, a "check yourself." it is quite effective. my Master is far from gentle in his slapping, and i have been left at times with ringing in the ears, mild dizziness, things of that nature but nothing we would label as serious. face slapping has nothing to do with erotic activities or "rough play" for us.

The one time I was slapped across the face, All I could see for several minutes was red, blood was involved, alot of physical violence and whiskey..... I have used face slapping when I want someones full attention. For this it is very useful. Also it can be used to make and punctuate a point. In punishment it can be used for punctuating a scolding. As in any physical activity the context defines the result. With my LTR partner (not currently), initially one of her hard limits was face slapping. But, as we "grew" and the relationship evolved I introduced it in one of those handful of hair "now suck your Daddy's cock" moments. It was relatively benign as far as the amount of force but the symbolism affected her head space immediately. After that, while not necessarily a large part of our interaction, it was a regular one. Greetings DMFParadox, You're correct and the issue was raised during a demonstration on rough body play techniques that I attended in the past. They provided hands on instruction on how to strike the face with appropriate finger/palm placement and indicated the areas that should be avoided to prevent injury. Namaste, ~porcelaine
