Let me see if I understand you correctly.  He's read the first page of your journal, so you're wanting to add some lengthy entries, including some links to other long pieces with the goal of saying "you didn't read it all."  Is that right? 
 
If so, and you really want to mess with his head, could sign up for some of the free webhosts like Moonfruit, Blogger, WordPress, etc. and create a series of links.  Each "entry" contains a link to another "entry" so he ends up chasing through webpages to find what you want him to read.  At the end, you have something you've written that basically says "gotcha!"  If you like, you can leave short entries on each page that give a piece of the puzzle, like a treasure hunt.  It's a little time consuming because you have to set up the free accounts and create the pages, but none of it is difficult.
 
That's just off the top of my head.  If I've misunderstood, then please let me know and I'll see if I can think of something else.
