Hello. I just joined today and am looking forward to meeting new people in my area. I consider myself somewhat new to the local scene but not entirely new to the lifestyle. I am looking forward to chatting with people, and if anybody has questions about myself feel free to respond here.

Not a question, but

Thank ya.
I also have a bit of a question...it seems as if those on this site that are listed as "trans" are MAAB. Should I change my gender in my profile from trans?

I'm sorry, but I don't know the answer to that one.

Any sort of opinion about what would be the best fit?

Also, I see no option to search for a trans switch. Is there a reason?

You know, I've never understood the way that collarme treats trans.  It lists trans as though it's a specific gender, and doesn't differentiate between MtF and FtM.

But on the page for collarme, you can select Trans for the gender and Switch for the orientation.  So I think that you can in fact search for a trans switch.

Also doesn't give room for people who are gender non-conforming. I can't select "looking for trans switch" for my profile.

So everyone listed as trans will have to put a picture of their hand in the profile photo?  Then you could check whether the ring finger was longer than the index and know if they were Mtf or FtM.

Welcome to CM and the boards. If you look at the top and the rolling "as the collar turns" there's now one listed where you can make suggestions. CM has set up the way it has, to the best of it's ability. You can always ask to have something added, but they'd most likely need a vast numbeer of people requesting something be added or changed before any acotion would be taken.

Welcome.  There are a number of transgendered people on this site--not all put "trans" as their gender.....and you can select "switch" if that applies to you as well.  Don't worry about what check-boxes you see that apply to you...or what doesn't.  Just make sure you have a thick skin some days....and other days...just keep on scrolling and just roll yer eyes.

You shouldn't have too much trouble finding folks in NYC.
good luck and enjoy CM

to CM! The check boxes aren't perfect but, as poohbear said, suggestions for changes/improvements are being requested. In the meantime, best to pick the closest and clarify in your profile.
Good luck and have fun!

Yea, so far I've gotten messaged mostly by straight dom guys. Do people not read!? There's just no check box for "looking for trans switch."I guess I could put male but...eh. It's just weird/frustrating.

And looking for people in my area is a bit odd. I'll keep on lookin'.

I already sent in a few ideas relating to gender identities, sexual orientation, and the overall search...and making it so when you look for a person, they're looking for the same stuff you list in your profile (ex: I search for switch female and it only shows switch females that are looking for trans switch).

Unfortunately, some really don't. I get messages from both female subs and Dommes, even though I checked the 'looking for' boxes for Male Dominant and Friends Only (the messages I'm referring to aren't soliciting just friendship, lol). It's annoying, but there's really no way to make someone read your profile before writing.
