A little different topic, but thinking on it the other day.

Who have you seen in TV or a Movie, that does not play an obvious Dom/Domme, that you would think would be perfect for it.

For example:

Dangerous Liasons: Both John Malkovich's and Glenn Close's characters. They were delicious!

Entrapment, with Sean Connery.  Even my son gets hot flashes when he watches he girl being trained to dance through the lines of rope, blindfolded.

Why only Doms?

Many act subbie and get me all jazzed up, lol.  I am such a sicko that I even perv on Shultz while watching Hogan's Heroes.  I used to watch that show when I was a little kid, and now I have a new reason to watch it.  Hogan seemed Dom and Shultz and Labeau were just adorable.

NCIS.  It is a strange, D/s family.  Gibbs is Dom and he has turned the ones in his group into subbies.  It is cute watching them...helps me to not react negatively to all the "dead bodies" on the show.  My focus is on that "family."

I've always thought Severus Snape from the Harry Potter series was subbie, though girlfriends who were Snape fans used to duke it out with me insisting he was Dom.  Not even.  That character was first owned and branded with a Dark Mark by Lord Voldemort, and then owned by Dumbledore... [:D]

I like characters in movies, moreso than the actors.  I wouldn't want to speculate whether an actor is a Dom or a subbie.

crazyml -> RE: Dom's in Movies and TV (9/28/2010 8:21:50 AM)

Dom Corleone of course...

sexyred1 -> RE: Dom's in Movies and TV (9/28/2010 8:25:26 AM)

Captain Kirk, Don Draper, anything with Sean Connery, the True Blood vampire dudes, Simon Cowell, Gordon Ramsey, to name a few.

ResidentSadist -> RE: Dom's in Movies and TV (9/28/2010 11:08:15 AM)

Lwaxana Troi played by Majel Barrett was the widow of Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry.  She was definitely an over-dramatic characterization of the Domme stereotype .  She traveled with slave named Mr. Homn.

Yeah, but did he like being owned by either of them? Not at all. The man is SUCH a Dom. He enjoys humiliating and punishing students, he bridles at being told what to do, he manipulates everyone in sight and is good at it... don't make me get out the books and start quoting scenes... [:D]

As for others, totally True Blood vampires (Sam is a sub), Simon Cowell, Mr. Darcy, Tim Curry (just in general, all of his characters), Sayid in Lost.

poise -> RE: Dom's in Movies and TV (9/28/2010 11:39:12 AM)

Clint hubba hubba hubba Eastwood...in every blink of his eye!

mnottertail -> RE: Dom's in Movies and TV (9/28/2010 11:43:10 AM)

Ralph Kramden

Twoshoes -> RE: Dom's in Movies and TV (9/28/2010 11:54:13 AM)

Is there a reason you are omitting the two men from "The Vampire diaries" (The evil brother and the history teacher)?

Those two make me very jealous — in a good way...

He was my role model till I realized I don't have the voice for that.

Snape is a DOM ! He just wished his Wand was a Riding Crop. And I always imagine Hermoine would be the perfect sub, Tied and Gagged, but when she gets older and developes more.  LMCLAO

Wishing to be Hermoine in her Mary Janes for Halloween, sub BalletBob
