I read the first page.

IMO- the tea party is a fraud.

Why?

ok-  notice how they never say they will end the fed.   and notice how- endless wars would continue.

I am not in favor of dumping medicare- or privatizing Soc Sec.   We do have to spend on humans.  We do not- have to spend on wall street and endless wars.

So- razzle dazzle.     It is the sizzle with out the bacon.

I just KNEW it had to be Matt Taibbi. And he's right: every single douchebagger is full of shit. Taibbi is a national treasure.

And in a few minutes I'm off to see my pain doc, paid for by insurance that comes out of my pocket, to get my pain meds, paid for by my insurance which I worked for all my life, without any help from anybody, unlike those pieces of shit David and Janice, who sucked off the government tit their whole lives. Fucking white-trash scum.

I'd like to see all their medicare suspended for a year just to see them suffer. Fuck them, and fuck all douchebaggers.

"One: Every single one of them was that exceptional Republican who did protest the spending in the Bush years, and not one of them is the hypocrite who only took to the streets when a black Democratic president launched an emergency stimulus program. ("Not me — I was protesting!" is a common exclamation.) Two: Each and every one of them is the only person in America who has ever read the Constitution or watched Schoolhouse Rock. (Here they have guidance from Armey, who explains that the problem with "people who do not cherish America the way we do" is that "they did not read the Federalist Papers.") Three: They are all furious at the implication that race is a factor in their political views — despite the fact that they blame the financial crisis on poor black homeowners, spend months on end engrossed by reports about how the New Black Panthers want to kill "cracker babies," support politicians who think the Civil Rights Act of 1964 was an overreach of government power, tried to enact South African-style immigration laws in Arizona and obsess over Charlie Rangel, ACORN and Barack Obama's birth certificate. Four: In fact, some of their best friends are black! (Reporters in Kentucky invented a game called "White Male Liberty Patriot Bingo," checking off a box every time a Tea Partier mentions a black friend.) And five: Everyone who disagrees with them is a radical leftist who hates America."

How much of that sounds familiar from a few posters around here?

The larger question- is what does it all boil down to?

Not so much with a failed 3rd party- but how do we kick out lobbyists?    Bring corporations down from "personhood- and rights".

?

Waiting for Archer to come along and try again to claim the Tea Party was founded by Kari whats-her-(Charlie Uniform November Tango) again, in light of this most obvious FACT:   This second-generation Tea Party came into being a month after Barack Obama moved into the Oval Office, when CNBC windbag Rick Santelli went on the air to denounce one of Obama's bailout programs and called for "tea parties" to protest.

Flo-cpl, I was going to cut and paste that segment too, but you beat me to it,  GMTA and all that  :-)

I like the Tea Party (idea) because they're making both the Democrats and Republicans pay attention.
The Republicans thought they could make them "knuckle under" and they lost some primaries because of them, HA!
We know that the Dems are going to be slaughtered in November but the Republicans are also going to be put in their place as well!
Scooters! That's what the "global warmers" need in their parades!

So when the Democrats dont get slaughtered, but Republicans do, what then?

The more psychotic the Tea Party, and its members/candiates become, the easier it is for moderates to side with Democrats. They may not like half the things, Democrats are for/running, but would rather have the Democrat in office, then someone who isn't in the same reality, in office. At least with Democrats, the moderates know things will get accomplished, and generally in favor of the 'little guy', NOT, the large corporation screwing him.

I laughed at the stuff, this journalist wrote on the Tea Party. Its so completely true, based on my observations of the organization and its members. Should be required reading for any Democrat or moderate thinking of not voting in November....

And any conservative thinking of not voting should read the idiotic rants of the liberals on this board.

So will we return to Bush policies?

With Obama we pretend we do not have Bush policies. (even tho we do)

With the GOP- we have the same policies but we LIKE it. (supposedly)

Of course, the douchebaggers are also hypocrites about the transfer of tax dollars from the BLue (producing) states to the Red (pork, corporate welfare, and teabaggers "entitlements")
This says it all... the money goes to Republican states

It's almost like he's talked with certain "moderate independents" from this forum.

If Democrats and Moderates read even 1/10th the idiotic rants of the conservatives on this board, there would be ZERO chance of Republicans getting seats in November. In fact, Republicans would be losing seats.

Ha, "tried to enact S. African style immigration laws in Arizona", how about,.....oh.....I dunno,.....maybe enacting..... MEXICAN-style immigration laws in Arizona? You try to sneak in a second time and it's ten years in jail.

If you are refering to the whining, bitching, it's-all-the-other-guys-fault, bullshit. Then yes, it does sound familiar. The only thing that surprised me was they used the word "republican" in the first sentance and not some grade school insult like usual.

That's been going on since at least Reagan's second term, though: under Bush Imprimis wasn't the then secretary of state bragging about using the federal government to "punish" States who vote against the country's best interests and have put Democracts in the Senate or a Governor's mansion by so doing?
