Sounds a bit like 'Olde Guard' to me.

Nothing wrong with it, it might give him a new appreciation to what he puts other through, it might also help his 'technique.' Besides, he will have first hand knowledge after that point and his decisions will be based on experienec from that session forward. Wonderfull learning experience.

I'm not a switch... been accused of it... but not one. But if I were... hell I would own up to it... as others do... it's not as frowned upon now a days as it use to be .... so i've been told...

I think there's an underlying fear of not being "real" (oh please gag me) or "true" (again, YUCK) if you have feelings that are ambiguous.  Sadly, some think that it's less than genuine to expose their genuine feelings, and others will accuse them of not being enough of one or the other to do either well.

More often it's that we're told we don't/can't really understand the "true depth" of what a Ds or Ms relationship is.

I would guess that he is discovering that he is a "switch"

I have had quite a few older daddy type masters approaching me wanting to submit, I am not sure if they were actually interested in becoming slaves or if they just wanted sexual contact with a younger guy, I spurned them anyway. I asked one of them if they see themselves as being a switch though he seamed to be slightly offended and became defensive on the issue.

I think it's more natural for a submissive once submissive to get curious about the Dominant side. I've recently stepped out of the box myself. I'm not capable of being Dominant, but I have a twisted sense of humore and have enjoyed learning new things.

I don't have a problem with a Dominant searching out the submissive side. I personally wouldn't want to see the Dom I am with as a submissive to me, or another, but I wouldn't have a problem if He did. (I just don't wanna watch it, lolol)  I'm weird that way. I guess in my head he's one way and that's how I want him to stay.

Awesome topic and have really enjoyed reading others points.. Been awhile since i've posted... was a nice one to wet my feet again hehe. [:D]

My experience is that it's harder for males who take on one of the various Top labels because they actually view male bottoms as 'less' masculine and feel it will speak negatively to their masculinity if they admit they either have submissive fantasies or masochist tendencies. I can't tell you the number of dominant men who've come to me and asked to submit as long as I don't tell anyone. I'm not talking about online either. I'm sure every woman gets those emails and IM's from the Uber Dom telling you to get on your knees, then when you refuse, turn into worm slave begging to serve you, but people who are at the local public dungeons coming up and whispering in your ear they'd love to scene with you in private but shhhhhhhhhh.

I don't get it. If someone thinks less of me because I'm a slave who happens to absolutely adore expressing both my sadistic and masochistic sides, it's their problem as they don't own me. The only one who will ever stop me from S/m is Himself. When he has a problem with it, then I'll give it up.

Celeste
