ORIGINAL: lordbaltizar i`d enjoy hearing what people think the distinction is between slave vs, sub .To me it has always been a slave has no rights and gives her or himself completely. A sub on the other hand sets limts and boundrys and is not in sceen 24/7 and has rights .Also do you think a sub can be owned?I do however realize no one is a true slave since laws prevent it in this country.i am courious of what all have to say on this ,i am sure it has been disscussed before here but it is a worthwhile topic.~lord~baltizar~ I used to agree with your distinctions between the two words. I now find myself feeling more and more that it doesn't matter. BDSM people are like snowflakes. Each is beautifully and utterly unique. Yet we find ourselves pressuring ourselves and others to apply one of a very small selection of labels to ourselves and then, because of the selected label we find others telling us how we should behave, who we should be. "If you don't (whatever) then you're not a REAL, or TRUE (whatever.) I'm Harry. What I am is a "me." I'm a REAL, TRUE me. Of all the "me's" in this world, I do believe I'm the absolute "me-est" although I could be wrong on that. My BDSM is my BDSM and it's absolutely REAL. Or at least it is to me. To register on collarme, even though I STILL CAN'T SEND MAIL, I had to apply one of the selected labels to myself. I chose submissive because I'm a pain slut, I love to serve and I'm unowned. If and when I ever become owned, I'll adopt whatever lable my Owner chooses to give me, if any, be it "slave," "boy," "piggie" or "Lord High Everything Else." But I'll still be me. I'll just be Her "me."
