I had a Groshong PICC put in yesterday. They gave me versed and fentanyl, which I barely felt, but which evidently did the job, as the procedure was fairly painless. I'm told I dozed off for a couple minutes.

So now I have a tube coming out of my chest. It's kind of weird. FrankenScott. [sm=banana.gif]

In a few minutes, I'll hook up my infusion and play Starcraft.

When they put in my catheter all I got was a local. I feel ripped off.

The biggest problem with having a tube(s) sticking out of your chest is finding a comfortable sleeping position. Well that and the tape pulling the hairs out every time you move.

Well, you WERE ripped off. You were entitled to at least a minor buzz for going through that.

I feel cheated, too. I thought that I might, if only for a brief minute or two, achieve that state of awareness wherein the Bizarro Universe of the Beckerheads, Sanity, Subrob, RealOne, et cetera, actually makes a perverse sort of sense.

Didn't happen.

I already take Oxycontin, so that medicine is obviously not the key to rightardian "enlightenment".

I have put off consciously admitting that massive quantities of bourbon, saturated fats, cigar smoke, and Cialis are the keys to conservadroid Nirvana. What a nightmare.
