Consider a 22-year-old woman, getting out of college this December with $25,000 in student loans, and job prospects that are predominantly, "Assistant manager at the Starbuck's she used to study at."  Why not try to get supported by the local rich dude?  And wouldn't it be easy to buy into the hype that prodommes make $300 an hour, so damn, I'll be rich quick.

Also, most models -- mainstream or fetish -- have never made much money, and the jobs are fewer and farther between (less money in advertising budgets).  So more women are trying to make a living with their youth and looks in other ways.  These are all signs of a high-unemployment economy, one that is not providing for people based on their intelligence, education or practical skills.

Independent wealth has proven to be fleeting, whilst independent poverty proves itself to be all too tenacious.
We do what we must.
It's best to be upfront and honest about things than "Surprise!" later on, I think.

lol @ marrages .... this might be a cyncal way of looking at things dont you have to spend on most woman girlfriends dates gifts etc etc its just us girls we are expensive but then in our defense its all stuff for you guys , underwear make up shoes perfume etc etc lol it costs a lot to keep a man happy lollollol <3 thanks for the postive comments and not a slagging off match xxxx

I am secretly jealous. Or, I guess its not a secret now. [&:] (I just usually don't spend a whole lot of money on myself. I love to have a pedicure now and then, when I'm allowed... but I do appreciate nice things.)

I always find the comments in threads like this amusing.  For sooo many people not being in a relationship for money -- its humorous a majority of relationship problems or demise are due to money issues.  

Hell yes i will choose a wealthy and successful man over a man who lives paycheck to paycheck and is in debt.  I like not having to worry about money, i would rather not work and yes, i enjoy men taking care of me and having that type of control over me.  And if a Man wants to give me gifts or take care of me there is nothing more or less wrong with that than a Man who wants to beat my ass or control me.

Also, i don't think people really understand the Men who are wealthy who enter into such a relationship -- they aren't looking for you to get into their heads, they are looking for you to be what they want you to be.  They will finance your lifestyle as long as you are the women they want to keep around.  So don't feel too sorry for the men acting as if the woman is the bad guy here, the Men and women who enter into these type of relationships tend to have their needs fed and when those needs stop being fed they move on. 

I would love to be one of these women to wealthy men right now.  He would feed my needs for security and i would fullfill his needs being the woman he is seeking for the moment.  I always notice that people who look down their noses at these relationships tend to be the emotional type who want the all consuming relationship with a man.  While these relationships i speak about are on a different level and concept they can very well be all consuming.

It has nothing to do with being low maintenance as someone put it, it has to do with needs being fed and you simply may have the need of getting into a Man's head and heart which to me is not very LOW maintenance but very HIGH type of maintenance he simply doesn't "pay" in the financial sense. 

But in the end its about needs being fed, and if its not something for you then its not but don't knock it because it works for other people.

I see wealthy men as my equal, and most of the ones I know respect me because I'm self sufficient. They know that if I'm interested in them, it's that I'm interested in them for who they are, not what I can get from them.
The ones I've met in this lifestyle are looking for the same thing any submissive man is- to serve a Dominant female. 

And as far as meeting men who don't really care who a woman is, but are are looking for who they want her to be, that's unfortunately somewhat common everywhere, vanilla, chocolate, rich or not.
