How does what the UK have compare to the US in terms of the necessities of living ?

Are you better off than us ?

No reference was made to living in the UK versus living in the US.

Yes France have a better standard of life but to live there I'd have to attempt to learn French and this would impair my quality of speech.

There can be a huge variation in costs to run a household in the US.


Rural PA VS  NYC for example.

Not the Atlantic: The 'research' compared countries in Europe, not the USA. Also the UK came 9th, not last....also the data used was majorly based around how affordable energy is....which makes sense as it was done by uSwitch.

HDI is a better measure, based on 2007 data UK came 16th worldwide, 11th in Europe. Both Canada and the USA did better, 4th and 13th respectively.
