TheHeretic said "Who is your favorite humorous political/social commentator, and what have they said or written that makes you laugh out loud because it is so true?"

I'm not highbrow enough for commentators - I prefer political cartoonists.  So who are your favorites?

I'll go first.  I like Herblock, Oliphant, and the incredible Tom Toles.

Matt Parker and Trey Stone, even though I know that really isn't the category you were looking for.

I find I like Clay Bennett's work, found here.

The site itself, The Association of American Editorial Cartoonists, updates every day. It shows cartoons that bash liberals, conservatives, and the middle!

Steve Bell's done some wonderful stuff, but probably doesn't have much of a name in the 'States.
You will know Ralph Steadman (if only from the Hunter Thompson books), but he stopped doing political cartoons a while back.

Which reminds me the Flintstones had their 50th anniversary last week, good longevity.

If we're having daily strips as well as the big political cartoons, I'd like to have Berke Breathed, the late Reg Smythe and that Tom Tomorrow chap.

I like David Horsey, first, because I've actually chatted in person with him, but also because his viewpoints are similar to my own on may topics.
