Aw shit, this is quite unfair. Music moves me like little else. Now lots of the stuff that I like the most is instrumental so I can't post any lyrics, but there are all sorts of tunes that move me deeply when I hear them. They range from songs with serious personal memories attached,(Pearl Jam: Black, Alice In Chains: Would), classics (Hendrix: Angel) sappy Americana (Don McLean: American Pie), songs with incredible lyrics (Springsteen: Thunder Road, maybe the single best piece of poetry written as an American song...I mean c'mon, who else comes up with a line like "Make crosses of your lovers, throw roses in the rain, waste your summer praying in vain for a savior to rise from these streets.") and witty rhythms (Date Rape: Sublime, Taylor: Jack Johnson) to great songs by bands I really dislike (U2: One), but here's an old favorite that is never wrong... If the sun refused to shine, I would still be loving you. When mountains crumble to the sea, there will still be you and me. Kind woman, I give you my all, Kind woman, nothing more. Little drops of rain whisper of the pain, tears of loves lost in the days gone by. My love is strong, with you there is no wrong, Together we shall go until we die. My, my, my. An inspiration is what you are to me, inspiration, look... see. And so today, my world it smiles, your hand in mine, we walk the miles, Thanks to you it will be done, for you to me are the only one. Happiness, no more be sad, happiness....I'm glad. If the sun refused to shine, I would still be loving you. When mountains crumble to the sea, there will still be you and me.
