gooddogbenji -> Sweet victory!!! (4/24/2006 5:09:17 PM)

I was in conversation a while ago with a friend and her acquaintance (apparently not a very good acquaintance), who was just making some pretty ridiculous claims about various things.  I for the most part just smiled and nodded, made some snide comments to my friend, who wasn't really supposed to laugh.

Eventually, my obvious, but respectful (kinda) disbelief became too much for this acquaintance, she first told my friend how much of a dick I was(in front of me) and then, when I started laughing, she stormed off.  Today I saw her in the street and said hi, and she just ignored me.

To me that means that she took my comments far more seriously than I did, and that just feels good.  Called her bullshit, she tried to insult me, and she's the one who's pissed.  Ah, sweet victory.

So what kind of victory do you like best?  Everyone wins?  No one wins?  You win?  The other guy wins?

Yours,

benji

I like the kind where someone tells me to make a poll to prove my point and I do and it did. ;P

I'm sorry...I don't see the victory here.  Are you calling it a victory because you were able to sling your personal disbelief by way of snide remarks upon someone you did not know?  A person you are assuming, based on a brief conversation with them, to be full of shit?  That's not a victory dear...that's child's play.

I've only ever had 1 really sweet victory in my life thus far.... I was living in Lampertheimn Germany.... and I received a long distance call from my mother... who called to tell me.. she was actually wrong for once... and that I was right... when I told her she was mistaken... that  it was Gene Roddenbury who not only wrote but produced Star Trek. She thought he only produced. And also that Nurse Chapel played Number 1 in the orignal episode with Jeffery Hunter who played Cpt Christopher Pike... she later became the mother to Counslor Troy as well....

And she was the voice of the ships computer! ;)

Celeste

edited to add: Not to mention that Majel Barrett was also Gene's wife. ::chuckles::
