MrKicia -> What kind of car do you drive? (10/3/2010 3:14:29 PM)

Im curious to see if there is a "type" of car for each "type" of orientation.  I was just out washing the wifes car and it got me thinking about this.  Maybe a majority of female doms drove a certain "type" of car or like a certain style.  (i know everyones budget doesn't allow them to drive what they want.)

So what do you drive or like to drive and how do you orientate yourself?

Edit* Im a car guy so my mind is usually focused around anything automotive.

I'm a dominant that loves home/garden design. I must be able to carry off any treasures I find so I either have to have a truck or a van. Should have seen my son and I with three tree's in there! I was driving with tree branches and leaves all around us! (It was all safe like.) I have a van because it works better in poor weather and nothing gets wet or ruined. In fact, I am sure there is still a bag of sand in there! lol

I figure the submissive can have the fancy car or great truck to drive me around in style! (wink)

I drive a '98 1.3 Nissan Micra.

I bought it with 30,000 on the clock, and it now has 103,000 after 4 years in my hands.

I've just had a new clutch and second hand gearbox put in it, and expect to get another 50,000 miles out of it. Other than this,  regular oil and filter changes, several front pad changes, tyres and a new set of front discs, it has cost me next to nothing in maintenance. Assuming it makes 150K, work it all out, and its costing about £400 per year in depreciation, plus £2000 per year fuel, and then tax and insurance on top.

It still does 45 mpg, and it gets thrashed mercilessly. I rarely get overtaken on my way to work.

It has never broken down in the 70,000+ miles I have driven it.

Orientation-wise, I'm undecided. Don't like labels much. The Micra is probably what many would think of as a girl's car.

Male and Female Dominant here.  We have a Chevy extended cab truck and shopping for a minivan.

I am sure a minivan is not what you pictured.

95 Corolla.  I'm a male Dom who lives kinda simply.

Male Dom - Chevy Cavalier
Female Sub - Mazda 3

Budget cars are the bizzle!

pahunkboy -> RE: What kind of car do you drive? (10/3/2010 4:15:59 PM)

I drive a Chevy.

calamitysandra -> RE: What kind of car do you drive? (10/3/2010 4:42:19 PM)

Female dominant.

I drive what is lovingly referred to as the trash bin with wheels in our family. A Fiat Ulysse (the Eurovan 1 model) van.
It gets a good gas mileage, has sliding doors, seats all family members including the dog (a large Newfoundland) and a friend or two. All gear we schlepp around fits in too, and if we drive to a holiday location, it also is able to accommodate all bikes and a rooftop box.
All in all a very reliable car that needs not much of maintenance to keep us all safely mobile.

Female switch and I drive a very practical yet surprisingly zippy '06 Subaru Forester.

Fnordstrum -> RE: What kind of car do you drive? (10/3/2010 5:02:46 PM)

I'm a male switch.. and I don't drive, I just have a 24 speed mountain bike with fancy-pants full suspension and disc brakes which I use mostly to get to/from work.

Fnord.

I'm a female submissive but I have a thing for cars. I drive a 6spd. C5 Corvette, a 2009 GMC 4WD P/U and I love them both. It's Maine so pretty soon the Vette will be stored for the season and you need a 4WD to really be able to not care when the snow flies.

samboct -> RE: What kind of car do you drive? (10/3/2010 5:26:51 PM)

I wouldn't bet on their being much connection between sexual interests of folks and what they drive. I've met a few female dommes- I suspect that none of them are actually comfortable drivers, so exotic automotive machinery isn't really their interest.

I'm a most sub kind of guy (more alpha in the 'nilla world) and I like cars. Mine is a 2004 Focus SVT with the Euro package. It's fast, comfy, and handles well. It even tows my boat. Good on a long trip- I've done from New Orleans to CT with just me driving (I don't go straight through- Motel 6 is my friend on a long trips) and didn't come out frazzled- and that's with towing a boat.

01 VW Passat Wagon, 4motion (AWD). I wanted a car, not an SUV, with AWD and it was this or a Subaru that year and the Subaru had no rear leg room.

I live up a quarter mile of gravel driveway so AWD is essential come snow.

TheHeretic -> RE: What kind of car do you drive? (10/3/2010 5:58:13 PM)

Male (mostly dominant) switch, and I drive a comfortable Honda. I like cars that attract absolutely no attention, from anyone. If I won the super-lotto, and bought the James Bond DB9, I'd paint it beige.

WyldHrt -> RE: What kind of car do you drive? (10/3/2010 6:08:52 PM)

Female sub and I drive an '06 Kia Rio, which is pretty much 'the invisible car'. I prefer trucks, but the Kia gets good mileage and is inexpensive to maintain.
If I ever hit the lotto, my first stop will be a dealership to pick up one of these. [:D]

areallivehuman -> RE: What kind of car do you drive? (10/3/2010 6:12:12 PM)

I'm an auto mechanic and hate all cars equally. I drive a 96 Ford Ranger 4WD that I bought 3 years ago wih a bad engine for $500.

I put 4,000 miles on my motorcyle this year, 30 year old rat Harley FLH....I love all motorcycles, but not equally.

Am I reading this correctly? What exactly do you mean by "no Dommes are comfortable drivers"?

This Domme has better than 1.5 million miles of driving under her belt, most recently on two '97 Toyota Avalons and a 97 Toyota 4Runner. When my first Avalon met with a four-point buck while I was going 95MPH (153Km/H), I switched to my 4Runner, and then back to another Avalon.

I learned something with my first car, it was a '74 Chevy Nova with a lovely 350 engine that was the bane of my driving record while the speed limit was 55MPH. I learned that driving a "ticket me now" car is not the wisest choice for me, and I'm much better off driving a car which has excellent handling and performance but looks as if your mother would drive it.

I did like the 4Runner for going out on back roads and for 4 wheeling; I love a good challenge!

So pray tell samboct, what exactly did you mean by the above statement?

*BTW, the first Avalon got 30mpg, and the second one gets 25mpg...the 4Runner got about 18mpg, which is why I switched cars.

Lockit -> RE: What kind of car do you drive? (10/3/2010 6:22:33 PM)

Maybe some femdom's are uncomfortable drivers, but not this one! I drove for a living at one time. No tickets, no accidents and made good time. I love driving! Night driving is more difficult because of my sight, but driving is still a comfort zone for me and I will go drive until I am lost and have to find my way home again. I love it in any type of car/truck as long as it is mechanically sound and has music!

MistressRosalyn -> RE: What kind of car do you drive? (10/3/2010 6:24:43 PM)

OK Lockit, I'll do the night driving, and you can drive in the day. We will tour the country interviewing all the subs/slaves that we can until we find the best ones for us!
