His name anagrams into "combats".

Should we permit someone onto collarme whose name anagrams into such a pugnacious word? Discuss.

What did I do to deserve this? I'm not good at anagrams or I'd try and return the favor Steven....

I've never thought of myself as particularly pugnacious, just either determined or stubborn depending on your viewpoint....

But this isn't the first time somebody has played around with my name, or more precisely, my initials. When I was a kid, one of my friends observed that since I really loved airplanes, my folks should have given me the middle name Orville. And yes, my last name begins with a "B"....

Taking even the most cursory glance at the monikers of many esteemed members here, "Samboct" seems almost innocuous. The variations of the word "abuse" in dom nicks are shockingly rife and a glaring red flag, if ever there was one. i would rattle off a few, but all are capable of visiting the lists of those on line, for example, and taking a gander for themselves.

(All that aside, Samboct may, indeed, be used to anagram "combats". Still, no one knows in what sense combat is being used. He could be struggling with the common cold, have seen action in a World War, or simply battles personal demons.)

Well, not a military person, but something of a student of WWII history. Have battled numerous colds in my life, and as someone who has come to accommodate depression, has certainly battled personal demons on a nightly basis for some time. But I suspect that my pugnaciousness might be most noted in battling anti-science posts on this board....
