littleone35 -> How to get out of a bad mood (10/6/2010 2:22:51 PM)

Yestreday Master was over and he did something that annoyed me. Now being a good sub i tried to hide how annoyed i was, but after how long we have been together he can read me like a book. Even though he knew why he asked me why i was annoyed so i told him. He sais come here sweerheart and he started to trace his fingers lighlyt over my stomach. He knows i am very ticklish there and i started to laugh. He said so are you still annoyed i was laughing but i said yes and he kept tickling me. It is hard to stay annoyed when you are laughing. He got me out of my mood and we had a good day. So it worked.

I know for some of you tickling is a hard limit. but have you ever been in an annoyed or bad mood and your Master/Dom did something in particular to bring you out of it?

His joking around, his laugh, his smile, his always reminding me of my spirituality...those seem to help me get in a better mood most times.

It depends what the bad mood comes from. I know I've posted before that we've discovered I get seriously bitchy if I go all day without food. So he's started paying attention to what I eat, to make sure we stop and eat, and that I don't go all day running on empty any more. First time in my life I've eaten three meals a day consistently.

This is something I posted (under the name Delphinus) in response to a thread awhile back about feeling owned, but it applies here too, I think. It certainly lifted my mood. :)

There was one time when we were having an argument of sorts. The air was very heavy between us. We were both miserable and the gray cloud just wasn't lifting. Then he told me to go in the bedroom. I didn't want to - I wanted to resist on every level - I was even angry with him, as I thought it was very much not the time for anything sexual. I thought we needed to talk it out on a one-on-one, save our loving relationship kind of way. I grudged, and I was angry, and I was kind of thinking "how dare he?" Of course, I did it. And we went in the bedroom and he made love to me and it was the deepest lovemaking experience I've ever had - no bondage or spanking or humiliation or general kinkiness that I love so much. Just him and me, having the most intense and (dare I say?) vanilla-like sex we've ever had.

I think I felt so owned because at that time, there was no "BDSM", no CollarMe, no symbols, no limits, no implements...it was just a man taking his woman...a man making the decision to change the situation how he saw fit. There wasn't a bit of kink about it, yet it was a pivotal moment in our D/s relationship.

He plays reverse psychology with me. When I'm in a pouty mood, he mocks me..."Waaaaa, oh woe is me. mememememe". I know that would drive some people crazy, but it always makes me laugh...and he knows it.

Getting ravaged usually stops a bad mood.

I sent a card to someone. It had a crank that when turned, played a pirate jig. I would be on the phone grousing to him and he would turn the crank 'til I was laughing. I don't think I ever told him how much I appreciated it, and his sense of humor in general.

depends what it is but he will turn it round on me i was really down about something i had to do and i had no choice to do so he said ok then if you dont want to dont do it, and he looked at me with the look he has, my mood lifted as i knew i just had to do it and there was no point in fighting it. he has belted me before when i was undecisive and down on myself it reawakened me but that always does wonders.

The best thing that ever happened to me was a suggestion that I go take photographs in the park where all the flowers were blooming.  I got so focused on angle and the minute details that I forgot all about my icky mood.  I love that someone knew me so well that a simple suggestion helped so much.  Those photos are some of the best I've ever taken because my anger wanted to show some of the beauty of a dying flower or of black leaf on a rose or some other such thing.  I got to take some ironic pictures that day.  That was brilliant.
