Status: offline 		Well ive responded to things here and there, decided it was time to toss out a topic of my own.

How many of you make your own toys,whips,flogger, furniture.. have any favorite type to make, or personle faovrite material to work in.. Curiouse how many around here do make there own, its been something ive been doing for a few years now, find it enjoyable. though i tend to scavange for materials when i can, or build stuff out of every day materials. cant afford much elese at the moment.

my current project is a decent weight flogger out of denim,  48 two inch wide falls, around 2 feet long each

Status: offline 		i use toys around my house.. most of my slaves are handy so i tell them what i want and they try to make it.

i honestly prefer things i can find around my house or things i can make.. or a slave can make.. yeah i have a lot of dungeon shit.. and i prefer BIG toys.. but at the end of the day..

if a bitch pisses me off while washing dishes or some other chore.. yeah i'm fucking him up.. and it'll be something local and household- something i have right here.

i'm a big proponent of males making his own toys

that he KNOWS will get used on him

i also have made my own toys.. i have a great gas mask/breathplay hood that i made with the help of my Dom breathplay partner.

hell go to home depot (aka kink depot).. go to a office supply store..

shit anything is a toy or potential weapon.. i'll snatch the curtain off the rod and beat a boy with it.

i dont need it to be purchased to use it against someone.. i prefer home toys, toys i've made.. or toys slaves that they  know will be used against them.

with that said.. still love proper dungeon gear.

but if  a slave can make proper dungeon toys.. bring it

Status: offline 		I love making toys!  okay to be honest I love making stuff(clothes fetishgear,trinkets furniture knitting etc) full stop
and making my own toys means I can control the colour/texture  as being a control freak and a tad anal; I like my fetish wear and my toys to match

Status: offline 		chuckels  tend to be a fan of home made items, or house hold items. retasked for other uses. the gas mask/breathplay hood seems like an intersting idea ill have to look into at some point. my thanks for the responce.. i always find it interstign in seeing how others do things.

hmm i havent expanded into clothing much yet a few peices, but my norm is whips and paddels the like.. though theres a few ive made that i wouldnt even use, experments just to see if  it could be made(well by me) like a 6 tail out of the wire core of coax cable in three strand braids. .. though i do like my chain whips, well the one i didnt sell.. that is one of the things about making my own, i can controle the weight, size, peices for myself or Mistress each fitting our styles.

Status: offline 		I was getting dressed the other day and used the belt I was putting on to convince the boy to stop bugging me. Some people make a clear distinction between everyday things and toys, but it's all useful. I made that particular belt, but not as a toy. I also have a really cool outdoor grilling spatula... it's steel, about 4"x5" with a really long wooden handle, and the steel has large holes in it, with a blade edge on one side, short spikes on another side, and long spikes on the third. I love it. I've designed a number of large-scale toys, but I don't have the means to build them nor the space to store them... perhaps one day.

Status: offline 		I have a tendency to look at toys online and I see a lot of them that are way too easy to make rather than pay the price for...especially leather and cbt toys.  There are also a lot of goodies you can get at (you got it) Home Depot such as large O rings and every kind of clasp you can think of.  I've found their plumbing section has some unusual things to keep pipes in place.  You can also make all kinds of fun restraints out of metal pipe and fittings.<eg>

Status: offline 		I've made many items for Dominants and submissives in the local area. But this weekend I was asked to quote a job for a Dominant in Cincinnati. He wants a St Andrews Cross that is made out of clear acrylic. He then will use his profession to light the cross up at various points on the cross. He also wants to make the binding points on the cross adjustable.  I think I'm going to have to make this one even if he doesn't accept my bid. 0

Anyway,  its also called friendlyplastic... tiny plastic beads that 'melt' in hot water forming what can only be described as 'dough', can be rolled or manipulated into any shape and can be reused many many many times once bored with whatever you have made.

I have made some of the most wonderfully creative buttplugs.

Its non-porous,washable and totally re-usable

Available in Maplins in the UK, £20 for 500ml tub,  which believe me, is more than enough for anybody ( or should that be anybottom )

Status: offline 		We have made lots of our own toys.  Sometimes I've loaded the dining room table with all sorts of materials and let the subs construct toys.  They do know that these will be used on them and sometimes are quite inventive.  Floggers of all types; paddles; pinching/clamping devices.  

I also love to shop at dollar stores, Home Depot, Lowes, and various variety stores.  Spatulas, spoons, clamps, pins, there are a variety of items out there.  Sometimes we have painted or used liquid latex on items to either make them more personal or more adaptable to what we are going to to with them.

Status: offline 		I make all of my own toys, including a dragon's tail with a serpent's tongue. I normally use heavy gauge leather and/or vinyl for my floggers but I've done scourges from braided stainless steel, hair and also from chain mail. I have pictures of some of my work for anyone interested in seeing some of them.

I rather suspect you'd need to have some sort of metal frame under the acrylic, even if the acrylic cross is inches thick. Acrylic is rather brittle...

I've been making floggers (and other stuff) for some years, using wooden handles turned and finished by myself and tails from the fine rubber stranding inside shock cord, through bootlace leather thongs and chap suede (which I have to cut into strips) to 3mm ball-chain.

Among my current projects are ball-chain and suede close-up floggers and a ball-chain only close-up flogger for a self-declared pain slut.

Status: offline 		I have made a lot of my own toys from stretchers, spreaders, suspensions, harnesses, clamps and more.  My favorite place to shop is the hardware.....barbwire is nice :)

After all, home made and tested is fun as well

Status: offline 		Nothing better than a trip to good old Dom Depot on a saturday afternoon. Latest creation is a new version on a ratan cane. Used the plastic rods which are normally used by electricians to pull cables through pipes and walls.  You'll know it when you see it.

Status: offline 		i make my own toys as well as buy them...my pet loves the ones i make more than the ones i buy but i like diversity...lol....i make floggers,canes,slappers,bits,gags,restraints basically anything i can jot down...will begin on the dungeon furniture real soon...her best flogger is the matching set of sealskin floggers i made her for xmas..

Status: offline 		I must find out more about Polymorph, is it the exact same thing as Friendly Plastic or is it only a similar product?  Shapelock.com seems to be the same thing but i can't find any information online about Polymorph.  The info i found on Friendly Plastic says it becomes maliable at 140F but shapelock says it isn't workable till it reaches 150F When does Polymorph become workable?
