I think it's "don't waste my time if you don't meet my needs"

But they really should be more specific about exactly what those are.

bandit25 -> RE: Don't Waste My Time (4/26/2006 3:41:33 PM)

I get the same thing.  I agreed to chat (email) someone and the next thing I know I got his telephone number.  When I responded that I meant email, he deleted his profile!

windchymes -> RE: Don't Waste My Time (4/26/2006 4:12:14 PM)

Some guys (and maybe girls, in the interest of fairness) think that anything that doesn't lead to orgasm is a waste of time.

mysecret40 -> RE: Don't Waste My Time (4/26/2006 5:18:54 PM)

Oh man have I seen this one over and over~! Don't waste their time Doms~! After all their time is more important...lol..they have the my way or the highway mentality , they aren't willing to compromise at all. In nilla, D/S, any relationship for that matter....there must be the willingness. That's the key word.

UGH!! I hate when that happens. I don't want someone's phone number before they tell me their name, or anything else about themselves! I'm not interested in talking to anyone on the phone, until I get a sense that we have something to actually talk about.

As far as I'm concerned most men who want to rush straight to a phone call are hoping they can engage you in hot talk.

If I wanted to do phone sex with strangers I'd charge for it. I can always use the cash.

JoeT2000 -> RE: Don't Waste My Time (4/27/2006 3:19:08 AM)

If it simply says "Don't waste my time" without any information, I wonder if "Don't Message Me" would be better.

For the people who've posted about the irritation of trolls, "female" submissive trolls do exist and can be a source of irritation. I am prepared to concede that the majority of these may be male spot welders called Kevin from Slough who are pursuing their own particular kink in pretending to be female submissive trolls... oh the wonderful honesty of the internet. There are also more and more scammers kicking around promising the earth before asking for a cheque (check for my American Cousins).

If I were a lesbian Dominatrix, I would get irritated by male Doms pming me because they find my pic sexy and want to "turn" me. Similarly, I never set out to find a ghanaian beauty who is most likely male who wants to empty my pocket as a display of their creative submission.

True, "don't waste my time" may just be from an egotistical idiot. My suggestions is, don't waste your time either, unless there is something to attract you into asking what they are looking for.

Joe

I got a message from someone that said in  his email to me "Dont waste my time or play games", and then he gave me his phone number in the same email... He also lived in Florida.I did not respond and then he sent me another email demanding I not waste his time and email him back or call him... It stated on my profile that I would not date outside my state. In other words he was wasting my time.. (I know that isnt very "submissive" of me to point out is it.. just joking)

You gotta love the irony of the situation, though.

Reasonable -> RE: Don't Waste My Time (4/27/2006 7:58:38 AM)

A sense of humor helps in these situations as well.

Here's one possible filter a sub can use for the 'too full of it Dom".

"Initial messages that are not prefaced with the words "I'm a little teapot" will be ignored. No exceptions-this means YOU."[;)]

Dustee -> RE: Don't Waste My Time (4/27/2006 9:22:39 AM)

To me "Don't waste my time" signifies a whiny, complaining, "the world owes me something" attitude that is extremely unattractive in anyone, let alone a dominant,  and so I respond to it by following their instructions to the letter. If such a profile emails me, they get the instant Ignore of Death. I don't even waste their time by reading their email!   I am such an obedient submissive. :D

A man sending out emails saying "Hey want to give me a blow job?" to profiles that clearly state "I'm a lesbian" or "Not interested in casual sex" is wasting everyone's time and energy.

My favorites are the people who do this AND who also have the "don't waste my precious time!" phrase in their profiles. They are the ones who seem to write me most frequently.

LOL!  And, if you stick this phrase in the lower third of a very long text profile, you'll also know who has bothered to read the profile or not, by who refers to it. ;)

"Don't waste my time"

What a blanket statement.  What do you consider a waste of time?  Half the time, I think sleeping is a waste of time, so do people that sleep waste my time?

If you are going to make a blanket statement like that, you should at least give hints as to what color and shape the blanket is.

Then again, every single time I see that, I itch to email them and ask exactly what constitutes a waste of time.  Then again, I'm a sadistic smart ass that loves to rub people the wrong way at times.  Just doing my part for the deconstruction of the human psyche. LOL

I mean, think about it.  If pointless emails are a waste of time, but you take the time to read a pointless email, is the act of reading it that is the waste of time, was was sending it, but that would make it a waste of someone else's time and not yours.  Oh, the fun I could have with this if the brain were firing on more than half a cyllinder at this point. LOL

It makes me think they're looking for a hook-up.  I feel sorry for them for about a half-second...and then forget about them.

i was not clear; the profiles are mostly vague or nonexistant as to requirements or preferences; but "don't waste my time" still appears.  All is confusion here.

Well hun, if that's the case just do as they suggest and don't waste their time (or yours) responding to them at all.

Its one thing for a dominant to be clear about what it is they do and do not seek and then make it clear they don't want anyone outside that wasting their time.

But when someone just posts some vague thing and makes a statement like that... well... why are we even wasting our time discussing it?

I have no idea...but it may be a poorly chosen way to express that they are seeking honesty, not someone just playing...desperate reaching...

I miss having the spare time to be around.  Things have been incredibly busy for me and I've spent the last month living out of two suitcases.  Not my idea of a good time, but nobody said building a business was easy.  On top of that, I have cold.

But the good news is I got another order of books from B&N so I've plenty of good stuff to read, a new laptop to play with and I'm all stocked up on hot tea! [:)]
