Proprietrix -> Technical question (4/25/2006 8:48:13 AM)

I never know where to post these technical questions....
On the other side of CM, I know one's gender is indicated by the color of their name.
pink = female
blue = male
purple = couple.

But sometimes I get messages and the person's name is red. I tried to see if there was a commonality, but I haven't found one. Sometimes it's a moderator. But more often than not, it's a female dominant. Sometimes it's someone who's been here a while, and other times they're brand new.

Anyone else get messages from people whose name is in red?
Any clue why?

Not that it's going to change anything in my life at all, just curious.

Ceyx -> RE: Technical question (4/25/2006 8:51:10 AM)

Isn't it that dark colors are for those who identify as Dominants, and light for those who identify as submissives? So dark blue would be a dominant male, red a dominant female, light blue a submissive male and pink a submissive female?

For whatever reason. Seems to work. [;)]

ownedgirlie -> RE: Technical question (4/25/2006 8:52:33 AM)

That is my understanding of it, also.

MissyRane -> RE: Technical question (4/25/2006 8:55:00 AM)

I only get red messages when they're female dominants

Ok, this made me curious, because I've never seen dark blue. So I went back to my search and took off all perimeters. I only get returns in light blue, light pink, and light purple. (regardless of Dom/sub/switch)
So then I checked my mailbox, knowing that I have messages from just about all "categories" Again, light blue, light pink, and purple (with that occasional mysterious red)

So then this thought occurred to me....
Could it have something to do with color settings somewhere? Everything else I view on the internet seems to be ok with color though.
Maybe I just have some kind of freaky version of collarme?  lol

Ceyx -> RE: Technical question (4/25/2006 9:13:37 AM)

Well, I'll be damned.

(For many things, truth be told, but for this among them.)

I went back out and looked at the recent logins list, and you're right, Proprietrix. I'd assumed that dark blue was for male Dominants and light blue for male submissives, but all the male names read for me in a sort of medium blue. Could be something to do with our color settings, I suppose. One hates to think that it's more important to visually separate doms and subs on the other side of the gender spectrum. [;)]

GoddessDustyGold -> RE: Technical question (4/25/2006 9:41:40 AM)

When I receive mail, all red is FemDoms and all pink is femsubs, while a nice light purple indicates a couple profile.  All blue is male but there is no color shading to indicate if Dominant or submissive.  It shows up this way on My Admirer's list, also.  So when I check on new Admirer's, if the color is blue, I will not know until I click for the profile if this is a submissive or Dominant.  Although sometimes, in fact often, I can get a good hint by the user name!  *Smile*

mixielicous -> RE: Technical question (4/25/2006 11:12:43 AM)

i have gotten a red female Domme msg

MissyRane -> RE: Technical question (4/25/2006 11:29:31 AM)

Ok..after checking... the results (for me) are : all fem Dommes are red
fem subs are pink
couples are purple
black have either hidden(?) or deleted their profiles
darker blue are male doms
and light blue are male subs (or I think I remember having seen that in my pm box once n then it was from a male sub)

I get the same thing with blue, pink, purple, and red.  Nothing else.  No dark blue, or light blue, just blue.  I think purple should have been reserved for transgenderd individuals as it's kind of blue and kind of pink.  But oh well the couples got it.[:)]

I honestly listed myself as trans and the system sticks me with blue.  Oh well it is one of  my favourite colours at least.  But really I'm starting to think I'm just going to align myself with the female side since that's where I'm destined for anyhow.  That way I don't get branded as just one of the guys.  People can read my profile to get the full story.

Come to think of it the one red I saw was a Female Domme so I guess that goes with what others are saying.
