This is one of the reasons that his opponent Sean Bielat is gaining on him so quickly.

(Doesn't Nancy Pelosi remind you of Michael Jackson?)

Boston Herald is about as good with the news as Fox News. A publication, doing what it can, to help the GOP, win. What else is new?

Or do either of you two, want to make a real set of arguements, that the Boston Herald is a credible news source? I get kinda of confused between it and the other tabloid publications (i.e. tabloid trash). Next thing you'll be telling me, is that Bat Boy, will be the Speaker of the House, if Republicans win enough seats?

Can't refute the story kill the messenger?
Oh yeah, I'd MUCH rather read that pos Boston Globe, the "B" team for the N.Y. Times and writers like Jason Blair.
The N.Y. Times still hasn't succeeded in selling the Globe.
Ah, what's $200 billion between "friends" right?

The Republicans will win enough seats to regain control of the House. Barney might just be one more casualty for the left..

How do you think seeing the Mail and the Torygraph as the only two British papers that ever get quoted from in here makes those of us on the other side of the pond feel?
(Still, it could be worse, I suppose: it could be the Sun...)

Wow! Old Barney has his work cut out for him up against Sean Bielat!

Sean Bielat is the first strong challenger to Barney Frank since the 1980s. His experience and accomplishments have shaped his views:

—As a businessman, Sean believes in focusing on economic growth and fiscal responsibility

—As a Marine, he believes in peace through strength

—As an American, he believes in a return to Constitutional values and citizen-legislators

Sean’s career highlights include—

•Major, U.S Marine Corps Reserve
•Independent Consultant. Helped client companies build market strategies
•Program Manager, iRobot Corporation. Led $100 million, 100 person business line providing life-saving defense robots used to destroy roadside bombs in Iraq and Afghanistan
•Chairman, NATO Industrial Armaments Group. Led an international team studying the potential for use of advanced reconnaissance technology in urban warfare
•Management Consultant, Mckinsey & Company
•Lieutenant, U.S. Marine Corps (active duty)
Sean and his wife are residents of Brookline, MA and recently had their first child, Theo. They are members of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Brookline. Sean currently works as an independent consultant and serves as an officer in the Marine Corps Reserve.

Sean worked his way through college and graduate school, aided by scholarships and the GI Bill. He now holds a Master in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, a Bachelor of Arts from Georgetown University, and a Master of Business Administration from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus, the International Institute for Security Studies, and the Council on Emerging National Security Affairs.

No need to use disparaging remarks about him being gay to further your own arguments. All that does is make it look like you don't have much to say and that you're immature and homophobic. Not very attractive qualities.

Where are the disparaging remarks?
And it's not about "my own arguments"; I'm not "arguing" anything here just reporting.

Yes, it does, and according to the article, "[Chellie] Pingree also is facing criticism from the Maine GOP for using Sussman’s jet."

The nerve of her! Using the jet of her fiance... .

She is a US rep for Maine, a nearby New England state and Frank's partner lives in her district. It makes sense to me that it is plausible they may be friends.

I don't see corruption; lack of forethought perhaps and slightly poor judgement maybe, but not corruption.

But then again, you are still harping on the Gore non-news, unhappy and in denial that there was a different outcome.

You may not like the news souce the story comes from, but the fact that B Frank himself responded to the Herald , and answered the accusations, seems to give the story credibility. And this story was covered in the NY Times And Washington Post.

General Reply :

Frank is also now saying he is going to try and repeal parts of Obamacare, saying it was a mistake.
WHAT ????? You're in an election year, where a guy named Scott Brown won a special election in large part to public support of his opposition of Obamacare ? And now the Masterpiece you and your fellow Democrats shoved down our throats is flawed and isn't as wonderful as you tried to sell us ?

And this one is priceless. And Joether, you should approve it comes from the Globe, a liberal publication. It's in response to not having seen the problems with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac

" According to the Globe, Mr. Frank "said in an interview he missed the warning signs because he was wearing ideological blinders. He said he had worried that Republican lawmakers and the Bush administration were going after Fannie and Freddie for their own ideological reasons and would curtail the lenders' mission of providing affordable housing." We'll see what voters think of this Bush's-support-for-reform-made-Barney-oppose-it explanation. "

popeye1250, I wasn't replying to you, I was replying to servantforuse who said "time for my boy lolly pop to go". If that isn't insulting his sexuality, I'll be darned. Seems pretty clear cut to be aimed at him being gay and making fun of it to me. Sorry for the confusion popeye!

No worries, this wasn't about Frank's sexuality but about political behavior he probably should have avoided.
I wouldn't say calling someone,"my boy lolly pop" is so much "insulting someone's sexuality" it's just poking fun at someone, any "public figure" is fair game in that area.
The leftists in here call me much worse than that!

I was listening to some doo wop music from the 50's. " My boy lollypop" just happened to be playing when this thread was started. It does seem appropriate though.

Well if you're going to be in politics you can't have "thin skin." You're a constant target.

The lamestream media would run out of ink, and the announcers on PMSNBC and CNN would permanently damage their vocal chords... poor Babs would scream herself into a coniption fit
