Hello, i am a submissive that has been interested in submission for about 10 years. Over the past 10 years i have had some experience with being submissive but nothing constant. Mostly just girlfriends experimenting and occasional play sessions. i did have one Mistress during a session tell me that i have great potential as a sub but unfortunately she never got the chance to benefit from it. my current girlfriend has decided to take on a role as my Mistress. She is still a novice but unlike the other girlfriends that were experimenting she is really coming into her own as a Domme and enjoys every minute of it. She continues to tell me that She can not believe how much She enjoys it all. Mistress has a lot of potential to be an amazing Domme and i look for ward to my continued service to her. Recently, Mistress and i have been doing follow up after our play times. She knows that she is a novice and has asked for my constructive criticism to improve herself since i have had an interest and more exposure for so long. i want to help Mistress succeed in anyway that I can but don’t want to criticize too much, (A) Because i know my place and don’t want to overstep my bounds with her and (B) Because i see amazing potential in Mistress and i want her to gain confidence not tear it down. i have read some similar posts here and have noted some of the suggestions. Mistress is reading , doing research as well as gaining experience having me serve under her. i have seen some people suggesting novice Dommes seek pro mentors. Is that a good idea? Does anyone have any other suggestions for my Up and Coming Mistress? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Get involved with your local BDSM community. Most munch groups also have demos and events. This is one of those areas that you really don't need a pro. There are many women in the lifestyle that are willing to help a person learn that won't charge you for their time.

Agreed. Get a mentor, but not a pro. A pro Domme is very good at sessioning, but there's more to it.

I've read plenty on the internet, bought other books, gone to live demos, but none of it I found remotely helpful. THIS book, however, completely resonated with me. As a novice myself, I found it hands down this most uplifting and inspiring book for me, to date.

I have to agree with Miss Mirus. Reading up on the subject is the best way to proceed. Not sure where you are from but the munch scene here in Metro Detroit is heavily weighted towards BDSM and not simple Femdom. We met many Masochistic men and the woman we did meet were single, too sadistic, and into bondage and pain, not what we were looking for at all. We had no luck finding like-minded couples in the area, although, in my gut, I know they have to be around. Elise Sutton's books helped us, but I assume Ms. Mirus's suggestion is good as well. A bit of advice? Go slow. Also, there are no two Femdom couples alike and the two of you must develope what works for you. And remember, life happens, and each and every day will not be an erotic joyride.

Thank you everyone for your answers! i have spoken with Mistress about the local scene and she states she's not sure if she is ready for that yet but one day will be. Miss Regina, i will certainly purchase that book for Mistress! herpet, thank you for your suggestion as well. I will look into it. If anyone else would like to offer ideas or suggestions, please do so!
