The question sounds more like "what if you could go back to no BDSM activities" I definitely would not want to go back. I have the best sex, the most passionate feelings, the best relationships when BDSM is involved. That being said, there is still much in my life where I am just me, not a Domme. Work, laundry, hobbies, social life, its all still there, even if I keep a toy bag under my bed.

I've been in this lifestyle for about 7yrs now. And, I've met so many wonderful and interesting people. I've also learned more about myself and who I am during this period than at any other time in my life. I think this lifestyle naturally allows one to delve into those dark areas of the heart and mind that some are afraid to visit. It's a glorious feeling to stand before a whip and feel it's firey caresses....to soar...to place your trust in someone, or have them place it in you...to give a part of you that few ever touch. Ahhhh....*g*
I have many friends who, though not in this lifestyle, knew me when I wasn't and who are understanding of the person I am now. Some 'get it', others do not. They simply love me any way....*g*
I certainly would never wish to go back. And, who says that we can't enjoy some vanilla things anyhow? And, why do we use the term 'vanilla' anyhow? What flavor would we call ourselves? *g* Hmmm...perhaps I'll make that a new poll...lol

I've only been in the lifestyle for a couple of years. Before that I was in a "vanilla" marriage. I don't miss the vanilla at all, I like bdsm very much. I know it isn't always possible to have bdsm all the time, but I enjoy it everytime I can have it :)

I like to say that I'm vanilla with a big swirl of kink running through me. I suspect over time the vanilla will fade more and more as we learn to live our D/s together.

I myself has been in the scene for 10 years and I will never go back to the vanilla lifestyle because it will never be the same again. I see it this way once anyone has decided to enter into the s/M lifestyle totallly as I have it would be like having a tiny piece of the cake as appose to the whole cake. I myself love having the whole cake and to settle for anything less just doesn't make sense.

i will never be in a vanilla "love" relationship again. i still have (outwardly) the same life i had before i stumbled across (thank You Gawd) D/s. However, i have many blessings from this period of my life, and expect many more.

i've reached that wonderful age where no one else need approve of what i do; i simply do not care. My family does not know because i'm unwilling to engage them on this subject. However if they found out it would not end my D/s search or my BDSM friendships. It would just be a ton of noise...and i would rather be deaf to it.
