After 11 days and about 6 hours of agony, my "big boy" Spicy (cat) finally returned home [:)]

I went out to buy something at a nearby cornershop and on my way back there he was...walking on the same footpath next to the main road, sniffing around...I called him and when he run straight to me and I made damn sure, not to let go off him until he is behind closed doors again [>:]

He went off on the 5th where I let him out the first time so that he can explore his new surroundings after our move...well, one thing is for sure, next time when he gets a sniff outdoors again (which won't be this month) he will be wearing a collar again with my number on it, that if he ever walks off again it is known that he is missed!!!

thanks poise and Stevie [:)] I wanted to add his pic and the dancing aliens etc but my damn computer keeps freezing when I open those 2 features and my laptop doesn't recognise my sim card, therefore I am only able to get online via my desktop at the moment. But gosh, am I happy that I have him back and so out of pure coincidence, not due to his microchip being read or so...maybe he heard curry today who has been outside twice and miawoed to be let in again...maybe that prompted him in the right direction...but well, we will never know but at the end of the day, it doesn't matter, all matters is, he is back [:)]

I'm happy to hear that Spicy came home, I've actually had a cat missing for over 2 months who found her way home after the evil neighbors took her out to the middle of the desert and dumped her. So cats are pretty clever, IMHO.

Great news, Phoenix!!!!  You DID ground him, right????  And will there be any little Spicy's running around in about 6 weeks?  Shame on him for worrying mom!

I did ground him, yes :o) no outdoors the next three weeks and nope, no lil spicys running around as I got him fixed when I took him on aged 2 years old :o)↲I assume that he was hoping to find my ex neighbours house again as he enjoyed to be there and realised that this ain't here anywhere...I am just glad he is back and I'm pretty sure so is he, as it is getting pretty chilly now on the seaside in the evenings...thank goodness I cancelled that night shift and was at home :o)

The cats here (Meanie, Mommy Kitty, and Trouble) was singing to me when I got home.  I cannot buy cat food for them but I want to so bad...They belong at the neighbor's house.

It's bad enough that their dogs are over here half the time.

Spicy and his mum were homeless due to its previous owners taking on dogs and not being bothered about their cats anymore,following which they begged for food at work,as they had cats too. Then his mum gave birth to the next litter in their conservatory following which my manager intervened (i joined them after those events) and took on his mum and 1 kitten and another colleague took on the other kitten.after i joined spicy was still homeless and once my manager told me that she "has to do something about him" (he was so desperate to stay warm that he figured out how to open the recycle box at night to have it a little bit warmer) i offered to take him in. That said and a colleague brought him over the next day
hats why i am not as such worried about him when he is lost,as he knows to handle it, however that doesnt mean that it would make me happy either...so i am delighted to have him back but if one of my cats can manage it outside for a few days, then it is certainly him.
And because i took him on at a later stage he got fixed late, which is why he grew fully out and is my "big boy" and "gentle giant."
