People don't have to reply to a cold contact.  Sometimes it depends on the tone of the message.  Sometimes it could be the blank "about me" section.
Sometimes the age range is sent to the bulk mail.  Sometimes a profile isn't read thoroughly and you're not what that person's looking for, or they are not looking.  Are you using punctuation in your messages?
There's a lot of people on here that have profiles just for the message boards.

Could be because the pic is objectionable & shouldn't be the primary one.

Could be this topic has been discussed frequently, too.

Edited for spelling and clarity.

Look, fella, you're a submissive CD with a blank profile and a main pic that not everyone will appreciate. You're not everyone's cup of tea. If you're not willing to put effort into your profile, why should you think that others are obligated to put in the effort to respond to your unsolicited messages?

Just recently, I participated in an endeavor with another poster here so that he could see what the volume of email was like.  On the new account that I created, I received seventy contacts in less than eighteen hours.  Nobody has that kind of time to answer that kind of volume of correspondence.

Hate the situation all that you want.  You don't automatically become someone's priority on the internet just because you sent them an email.

Oh my GOODNESS, LP, really?? Say it ain't so!!

A local guy had a similar complaint in his journal, and I explained a bit to him about volume of mails, and the potential for unpleasantness in response to a rejection. He was actually POLITE! So, bonus points for him.

I got 7 pages of emails within 24 hours of making this profile. Not bragging, just making another point for the OP to understand.

Don't be surprised when your photo gets pulled, because it will.
It is against the rules to post an explicit pic as your primary.

I would also take a pic without you being dressed up unless you worry about being recognised.

1) No answer is an answer.
It isn't the answer you want, nor is it an answer in the form you prefer.

2)If you are doing something but are getting a poor response, then perhaps you need to change how you are doing it.

Are you expressing an interest in the person, or expressing an interest in the things you want the person to do to you?

Yep.  Info is contained on the really long thread that's on page two of the submissive forum.

I do have to wonder if some of the discussion on that thread contributed to the new changes on the email system here.  It doesn't mean that I feel automatically obligated to respond to someone just because they have made the options to do so easier.

Now that I'm on my account...

What he said. In addition, as someone else pointed out, have you bothered to check their profiles? I get plenty of people trying to pretend they have read my profile but don't realize I'm owned. If I call them on it, they usually tell me my profile is unclear. Oddly, they never respond when I quote them parts from my profile and ask what is unclear.

Basically... sometimes I bother to respond just to poke the troll, as they say. Sometimes I don't.

I just assume most people I msg won't respond.  I get maybe a 25% reply rate, which seems pretty good to me.  I try not to put too much investment into the initial msg, just something friendly, personalized, but not an outpouring of anything because, chances are, she wont even respond.

I used to send long unique initial emails. Now I pretty much assume any messages I'd send on here would get deleted with the deluge of contacts people get, so I really don't bother sending anything here at all. I mostly just leave cm up for the odd person or two that contacts me, and for the forums.

I was amused well before any thinking happened. Proof of my vacuous open mind.

So, OP, when you get a letter in the mail offering you a credit card, do you write back no thank you letters? Why not? I mean, if you want others to respond to your unwanted mail, shouldn't you lead by example?

No response is a response, a response meaning no. The reason women aren't going to write back to say no is that men get hostile when rejected. If we don't respond we don't get mail threatening us, if we do respond with a rejection, then we do. So we don't respond.

Go join your local community and make friends. That's your best way of finding a partner. Sending unwanted spam asking people to do you in a way that gets you off and wastes their time is the worst way of looking for a partner.

I assume women also do not write back because they are getting pages of mails.   taking the time to respond to all of them would mean they wouldn't be able to send more than a sentence or two, and wouldn't be able to properly focus on the ones they are itnerested in.

I'd much rather get 1 well thought out reply than 4 one sentence ones that don't really say anything.
