Status: offline 		Aspirin is acetyl salicylic acid. The discovery of aspirin was from willow bark, genus Salyx (yes, that is where the name came from)

Willowbark tea is one of the oldest analgesics known probably dating to the stone age.



ON topic. MS Thomas claiming that asking for an apology = extending an olive branch seems a bit ludicrous.

As for calling LE. I would have called someone in that had unimpeachable qualifications just so it didnt become a "he said, she said" (or more properly she said she said) on Rush and Beck.


Bottom line is this. Didn't MS Thomas ever hear the old saying "let sleeping dogs lie"?

What happened between Monica and Bill might have been distasteful and a poor choice but it was a private personal matter.  It should never have mattered to or involved anyone beside Bill, Monica, and Hillary.

If Clarence did the things Anita accused him off it was sexual harassment and illegal. 

Any comparison of the two is ridiculous.

Mrs Thomas should have stupid stamped on her forehead for making that call.

David Brock did a good job on her with his "a little slutty,a little nutty" line.That`s how assholes try to get rid of their victims,they call them crazy,or slutty.At least Brock manned up and took responsibility.

Some are still "womaning" up,though............Sad.

One must give Thomas some credit....when he uttered the "high-tech lynching" line it would seem,for that moment at the least(as when he availed himself of AA policies),that he was aknowledging his blackness.Then promptly forgot it....lol.

Point out the error in my statements.  I don't care who is fucking who, who is getting their dick sucked, who is tapping a foot in whatever bathroom.

The only time it becomes an issue is when someone makes a point of ranting against gays or throwing stones at everyone else.  When they get caught doing the things they've been ranting against then it's an issue.  I don't like hypocrites. 

It's not my fault that too many in the "Family Values" crowd have trouble living the lines they insist everyone else should follow.

I think thomas has been waiting for the other shoe to drop and it`s affecting his marriage.

Heretic tried to argue, a couple years back, that aspirin came from a tree. Rather than admit that I was right when I pointed out that aspirin is the semi-synthetic product of the esterification of salicylic acid and acetic anhydride (IIRC)(I made it in Organic Chem 101 lab), he ran away. The vast majority of right-wingers on teh interwebz either run away, change the subject, or declare themselves the winner of the argument. It's a fundamental character flaw that, unfortunately, some of my fellow Progressives possess as well.

Could be that Mrs. Thomas is just flat-out nuts. While it may not be stalking per se, it it stalking behavior.

But pure acetyl salicylic acid CAN be extracted from willow bark. Yes, I made the stuff on Organic chem lab too. It's cheaper to synthesize it from scratch than to extract it.

A couple of years? Have you really been carrying this chip on your shoulder that long? No fucking wonder your body can't heal, with such an outlook. I wasn't running, Hippie, I just decided that you were a nasty little troll, and not worth further engagement. You present yourself as highly knowledgable in chemistry, yet feign ignorance when I reference the willow/aspirin connection. I don't care for disingenous posters. My sadistic streak came into play later, when it was fun to watch you making yourself look stupid over something so petty, that is fairly common knowledge anyway.

Getting back to the topic, I don't see why it must be an either/or. I think Thomas did probably come on to her, AND that she is a psycho bitch. I also think the wife is in some pretty deep denial, but bless her heart, for standing by her man.
