I support Obama.I voted for him in 2008.However,there are time's though he does not get it right. The Don't ask, don't tell policy is one of them.He say's he's for ending this policy.Okay,if this is true, why is his justice of Department trying to fight a court ruling that end's this ban.I understand that the military want's to finish it's studu on ending the practice. He say's this will end on his watch. How so,through congress?I doubt it.Congress already tried to end this not too long ago.It couldn't pass now mostly because of Republican's and a few ultra conservative Democrat's.I certainly don't think he'll get it through congress after the election's unless the Democrat's actually win extra seat's.If anything, the Democrat's are probaly going to lose some seat's this year. Here, this court ruling give's Obama a De facto way of ending this policy with resorting to congress. The court's have already cleared the way.If they want to postpone this ruling until after the Military is finished with it's study, then that's fine.I undersatand the transition persiod. But don't try to overturn the court's decision all the way.The court has handed Obama a chance to keep his promise.
