Hi!

We have all encountered a lot of "dominatrices" who are interested in so - called "financial domination".
Is there really such a phenomenon, or are they simply greedy hookers?

No, we haven't.  I'm a Dom and haven't encountered many at all.

Prostitution is the sale of sex for money.  Financial Dommes sell Domination for money.  There is a difference.

There IS a legit phenomenon.  However, you may feel free to not participate.

Actually, i believe escorts provide a needed social service and the transaction "can" be both honest and helpful. Financial Doms ... in my experience are exploiting the most vulnerable of subs and rarely exchange anything of tangible value ... one man's opinion

A whore is a whore.   Same thing.

i have a friend who does that and i don't agree with it, but, if some guy wants to pay her money to beat him and then send him home to his vanilla life then who am i to argue?

The key word being wants, she's not taking the money forcefully. He offers and she accepts.

The only "Financial Domination" i personally would be amenable to is if someone could help teach me balance my checkbook and do my taxes. Anything involving someone helping themselves to my money just isn't going to happen.

I'll pay a dollar for a mouthful of that!

I see a distinction between financial domination and prostitution.  I have never heard of a financial dominatrix having sex with her submissives.  Personally, I don't see what any sub would get out of being financially dominated, but whatever floats his boat and isn't hurting anyone else.  No one is forcing him to engage it in.

Greetings,

What I find most intriguing about the continued appearance of this subject matter is how it's always relegated to the dominant faction and very little is said about submissive or slaves. Of course the other side of the coin is financial slavery and there are more than a few persons being wholly supported by their dominant partner. However, this form of relating is acceptable and the allegations of prostitution and the like are never levied. It's an intriguing dichotomy. I'm of the belief that the real issue stems from the monetary empowerment the individuals have embraced and their ability to capitalize on the desires of their clientele. If the would be hooker wasn't benefiting financially I doubt we'd have a never-ending debate about the practice.

Namaste,

~porcelaine
