truckinslave -> The open-borders crowd should skip this (10/23/2010 9:16:43 AM)

Tom Tancredo, possibly the harshest critic of illegal immigration ever to step foot on the national stage, is surging in the Colorado Gubernatorial race, running as an independent.

According to Magellan.

Can't imagine why they would be supporting Tancredo, former GOP Congressman, after the party nominee has crashed and burned, oh wait... maybe I can.

The community would be upset if they deported this guy.  He has been a very good DR for over 20 years here.

Good for him. Us Independants are making some progress in this election. We're the real "progressives!"
And "everyone" should be a harsh critic against illegal aliens!
Who is "for" illegal immigration unless you're a Republican business owner who wants to break our laws and hire them or a desperate Democratic organizer who wants "amnesty" so they can get more votes for a dying political party?
There are very few people in the country who are "for" illegal immigration.

$100 bounty. Citizens arrests. Problem solved.

Owner59 -> RE: The open-borders crowd should skip this (10/23/2010 12:49:20 PM)

Funny,under bush,the number illegals doubled .

Obama has deported more illegals and stopped more illegal immigrants then bush did.Obama has put more men on the border including National Guard troops than bush did.

And now we get the fake outrage and fake concern over illegals..........................[:D]

Chew on that,rightists.

truckinslave -> RE: The open-borders crowd should skip this (10/23/2010 12:57:42 PM)

My concern with illegals predates Bush. I predicted with some certainty that he would be an absolute zero on the issue.

Right. Again.

Owner, you are correct. Obama is doing a lot more than Bush but it's just a "pisshole in the snow" compared to what's needed.
There are only 4,400 Ice officers for the whole country to do internal enforcement! We probably need 75,000-100,000 for five or ten years anyway until we can get a handle on it.
Also that border with Mexico needs to be *closed* not just secured and that means Troops and minefields.
And we need to make it a federal felony to be in the country illegally.
Bush was shovelling the snow from a walkway with a teaspoon but Obama is using a tablespoon. That about sums it up.
Deportation should be swift and it should be certain.
Many people, myself included think that we should end all immigration to this country for ten years or so until we get the illegal alien problem taken care of.
And the people who say that we can't deport 20 million illegals in a month are right, it's going to take years to do it. It took years to manifest itself.
Luckily, it looks like we are going to have a congress who will start taking their responsabilities in this area seriously.

So Pop,

Why are so many in your party opperating within an alternate reality?

The question was retorical.

popeye1250 -> RE: The open-borders crowd should skip this (10/23/2010 1:20:20 PM)

Owner, there was no question mark to be seen there.
If there were no question then there was no rhetoric?
