This makes me sick. Oh gee, you mean dumping millions of gallons of toxic dispersants (sp?) didn't make the oil go away? I'm shocked! The whole spill has been a debacle, from the (oil-owned) rubber stamping government agency that was supposed to ensure the safety to our environment, to not having feasible working plans for the oil recovery. Why is the government white-washing the oil fallout? That's what I want to know. More importantly, where is the outrage, people? The electorate is paying for bank profits, ho-hum. Big oil has fouled our waters and vital estuaries, yawn. We have a do-nothing finger-pointing government. All this makes me worry that we as a country are failing. It's overwhelming enough to make me want to go hermit, buy some remote property and become self-sustaining.
