Also the UK should get use a nice gift. A pen is more of a "hire the realtor" item. Something like the statue of liberty. That would be more appropriate gift for the US.

This is hysterical. We're supposed to take a story seriously from a site that is taking this poll, "Do you believe that Rh Negatives and Jews are blood drinking shape shifting reptilians?". The deal was this. the Government is not selling stock. The are holding it until the time GM can pay the back.

Somebody in Broon's office went to the trouble of finding something British and historically interesting, as well as valuable, for the Kenyan. Hopefully nobody will feel obliged to make any effort along those lines when dealing with him in future. How much does the DVD of that Doctor Who episode where John Simm shoots the American President through the head go for? Get the Kenyan a region 2 DVD of that, next time. Old pens don't necessarily leak. I have several that are older than I am (at least four are older than my parents, come to that), which work perfectly, without leaking. As rubber perishes, a lot of old pens can need sacs and diaphragms replaced, but a lot more don't. The Parker 51, which uses a vinyl ink sac and an acryllic body, is almost impossible to break unless you do something really stupid to the nib, to pick an obvious example. (Oh, and the nibs, and often the fittings are gold, dig?)

A president by law can not accept something over a certain value... that the gift is property of the country unless Obama then would purchase the gift at fair market value.
