Really wasn't the point. I suppose you are fine with the way the legislation was crafted?

Democrats do it too.

Don't tread on me? What a joke. The law was bought and paid for by big business. In this case big Prison business. They want the US Gov't to swing big dollars their way with illegal immigrants. I thought republicans were for smaller gov't. Business doesn't need the gov't does it? Is it all a sham? Where are the baggers?

DYB, Obama is the one who claims that enforcing our immigration laws is the business (solely) of the federal govt. so you'd have to ask him.
What does this have to do with the baggers? One would think they'd be against this.
Surely Obama is aware of those contracts with private prison companies, there's no way he can't be.
And if the feds were doing their job in the first place those private prison companies wouldn't be neccessary would they?

Exactly pops, but I don't see anyone filling this thread with outrage.

And, yes, that is exactly what would happen if the Fed did its job and arrested anyone coming across the border and detained them in the US. In fact, it is happening already. Talk about a complete waste of money.......

DYB, normally illegals are only kept in custody for 4-8 hours before being deported to Mexico.
Are the prisons you're talking about for illegals who've committed serious or violent crimes?

slvemike4u -> RE: Big Business Crafted Immigration Law in AZ (10/29/2010 3:04:09 PM)

4-8 hrs....seems awful quick. You don't suppose they mistakenly deport actual Americans  like in that Cheech and Chong  movie?

I wasn't aware that there were Americans trying to sneak into the U.S. from Mexico.
Mike,....."movies" aren't always "real."

slvemike4u -> RE: Big Business Crafted Immigration Law in AZ (10/29/2010 3:10:44 PM)

In other words what you meant to say was .....only those actually caught illegaly crossing are returned within 4-8 hours(which means they are started back our way 2 hours later?).

Lucylastic -> RE: Big Business Crafted Immigration Law in AZ (10/29/2010 3:13:22 PM)

4-8 hours?
on what planet???
any immigration process takes for damn ever, and detention centers are full

what a maroon

slvemike4u -> RE: Big Business Crafted Immigration Law in AZ (10/29/2010 3:21:03 PM)

The elderly are to be respected Lucy.....in China they are revered....of course that is a pinko communist country.

DYB, sorry, long day again, I'm tuckered out from pounding in signs for Tim Scott all afternoon.
After a few hours a six pound sledge feels a lot heavier.

DomYngBlk -> RE: Big Business Crafted Immigration Law in AZ (10/29/2010 3:59:47 PM)

Last weekend of the election and you are just now putting signs in?

Putting in "more" signs and "replacing" the ones pulled out by the opposition, run over by cars etc.
Campaigns don't stop until monday night. Everyone's "balls to the wall" until monday night!

And what is that supposed to mean Pahunk?

That Mexicans would be doing that?

Come over to Cleveland and I can show you areas with white rednecks that have couches on their front lawns and they sit there and swill beer all day.

My town is literally spending million $ on our river front.   I am going to start taking pics for the code officer.   Tires laying in the yard- old water heaters- and the big one- fucken garbage cans with no lids!

I am tired of trashy people and it needs to stop.

tazzygirl -> RE: Big Business Crafted Immigration Law in AZ (10/30/2010 12:36:13 AM)

Might be interesting for a few to learn the government, in 2008, was paying 101 dollars a day for an illegal to be detained at Wyatt.
