The American Legislative Exchange Council is one of the leading groups that help State Legislatures craft bills that are favorable to their members. They hold a conference every year to bring those representatives together to craft bills favorable to the companies paying the bill. This conference is all expenses paid for the state members and their families. The Council paid 138,000 in just enteratainment for the kiddies of the state members this past year for one week. The result? The article lists legislation that was crafted along the same lines with state representatives that were at this meeting. Illegal? No. The Council is rated as a Non Profit. Wrong? Fuck yes. But hey, no worries Big Business is just looking out for the little guy again. LOL http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=130891396
