I can't fault MasterG2kTR for his post or comments. Unless you already know of the Red Shirt Guy or World of Warcraft, on prima fascia, you have an extreme geek with a strange manner speech spouting intricate lore detail errors about a video game. Most video games don't come with 20 novels and dozens of other support books about the storyline, politics, professions, creatures and races in a game. I can see how abstract and irrelevant the Red Shirt Guy's comments must appear to someone that doesn't know there are more pages written about WoW lore than there are about Jesus in the bible.

I also cannot fault anyone for biting MasterG2kTR's head off for making a snap judgement and posting an errant comment. I enjoy MasterG2kTR's posts and video links. I have enjoyed this thread even if the nation isn't going to hell in hand basket because of the Red Shirt Guy. I take the OP in the light hearted perspective in which it was posted from a guy with a good sense of humor that has given us many funny video to watch. I look forward to your next post.

For you Warcraft fans, I hope you enjoyed the background info I posted in my previous reply. If you want t see the Red Shirt Guy in game, he is in the throne room at Ironforge. I dropped by recently to give him an in-game 'thank you' for pointing out the error and getting our missing NPC restored to his rightful place. Here you see the restored Falstad Wildhammer, Wildhammer Fact Checker (Red Shirt Guy)and my ingame character.

While I know next to nothing about WOW, that kid is no different than me and my buddies spouting off jokes about iambic pentameter - which we were doing just yesterday or you and G both spouting intricate lore details about something the rest of us think is nonsense (and in fact you both have). That kid had moxy - regardless of why. How many people have the guts to stand up to the big muckity mucks in whatever group for whatever hobby they have. Not many. And a kid to boot? pffft.

Yeah... we have a whole thread or two about all those videos.... What he posts is not only not any more special than anybody else's, he often starts his own thread just to post a video that someone else already posted. Oooo... so special.


This was plain and simply a "Geeks suck, jocks rule" thread. Luckily a number of people saw through those few words to the chest pounding that it was. Woo.
