ORIGINAL: defiantbadgirl Two of the tickets were for supposedly not coming to a complete stop at a stop sign by a school. Both times, kids were coming out and parents were lined up to get them, so I had cars lined up behind me waiting to go. I stopped. I just didn't stay stopped for 5-10 seconds or however long it takes to register on the cop's radar gun because I didn't want to block traffic. Both tickets were written by the same cop, were 2 weeks apart, and the situations were identical. I am rethinking this based on what barelyangel said. You felt you were stopped because the car paused, but the reality was there was still forward momentum that the radar gun picked up. You 'stopped', felt rushed with the cars behind you and went. Had you stopped and counted to 4 or whatever... but you didn't know (even though you should have). From another post you said you fussed with the cop, and you think that is why he singled you out the second time. That is more than possible, because of course he gave you the ticket, and there you were again, he remembered your car and he wanted to know if you learned the first time. And you did the exact same thing. The only part, I have a hard time understanding is that for me personally, (and this is not a comment on you) I would have been so paranoid I would have made damn sure I was stopped at that intersection.
