I thought that it might be a good idea to put all the comments about the results in one place as opposed to one for each issue.   I invite you to join me in putting your comments here    :)   All I have to say, will that isn't quite true, is like em or hate em, they are our results.   So Say the People.

Minnesota is going to go thru a long drawn out recount in the Governors election, the small disparity in votes triggers it.  Ostensibly, Dayton won.   It is going to be interesting because our constitution leaves Pawlenty in place until the certificate is granted, and he's too busy running around losing the Presidential bid to be fucking with this, so he may step down and in the interim the LtGov will be it.  So for some time anyway we will have a republican senate, house and governor.  All the other state offices are still democratic.

That hasn't happened except maybe once when I was a kid.

Colin Peterson won, so thats good.
John Klien from down by the cities (south of it) will now chair the Education and Labor committee so we can finally get rid of that piece of shit known as no child left behind, I hope.

Oberstar went down, which was a surprise to many people, the North Shore has been democrat since christ was a corporal, so ...but I personally having met the guy, didn't like him.

Meh.

I love the way that AZ decided to throw out preferential treatment for whatever group.  Now, we can get along with with the US was meant to be - everyone equal in the eyes of the government.   Failure to comply will be considered discrimination and persecuted appropriately.

I'm gonna go back and be pissed because Sink just conceded and she should have won by a landslide. Instead, that fuckin crook is taking the governor's office because he has more personal wealth. The sheep of Florida have allowed for their votes to be bought...again.

Where's cucky so I can laugh at him? What was that about taking the House AND the Senate?....

Bye bye Bush tax cuts.

Well it has some small effect on the economy, Michelle Bachmann running the most expensive house race, and several other of these races going in the multimillion dollars...it all depends on whether this was borrow and spend, or cash and carry, and looking at the debt sheets alot was borrow and spend.

Besides which all that corporate money being shoveled around will drive your prices higher at the grocery store, the mechanics and so on........so that should make some happy.

Well California has gone retro Jerry Brown is elected again...the last time he was governor I guess the first was not enough. What can California expect, more taxes (Jerry trade mark), more business leaving the State, higher unemployment, we are at 12.4% don't be surprise if it goes to 25%, more taxes, grandieous ideas on how to fix everything that will cost alot and never work, special interest projects, like the Memorial Bridge that goes nowhere, more taxes, a government that make Disneyland look good, when Jerry was last governor he ordered all governor publication to be written in simple english, to this date that has not happen, Jerry running for President, State Employees now being able to retire at 45 with full benefits, did I mention more taxes? Two State Proper were passed, No new taxes unless approved by public vote and the government must past the budget on time as required by the law, both will be ignored by the State government.

If you mean I kicked Chris Carney out.  Yup.  Hello Morino.

If you mean, I chose Corbot- for govr,  Yup.

If you  mean I chose the GOP as my local state rep,  Yup.

If you mean - I chose Toomy for Senate WRONG.

Our ballots had no 3rd party on them this time.  None.

...we can thank the man who had a home made banner on his house against Carney.

....last time the GOP ran PA we got all new bridges...  this time we will get a thru way.

This valley gets pork when the GOP runs PA.   Yay.

This is the happiest day of my life!!!!

California is a very different place today. In particular, voters are hanging themselves with the ballot proposition process. They vote down cuts, but also vote down spending, forcing very poor decisions based on mandates.

Governing is making choices. It's not the silly video-game type left/right war the power brokers have sold on radio and TV.

State or federal, if people want meaningful fiscal change, it will mean raising taxes and cutting programs.

The rest is smoke for the masses.

PA could use more ballot initiatives.     We have very few of those.

That is a fact...a state as large and diverse as California, with all of its attendant special interest groups can not possibly have effective governance as long as every decision is subject to voters referrendums.
It matters little who they elect....

I still think it is a good idea to split California   My choice would be to split the North off at say Vacaville
