Status: offline 		If candidate a of party X says vote for b of party Y because I don't want to face c then he has committed an election law violation in at least some states.

Although it does happen, remember Rush's calls for people to vote for HRC in the later 2008 primaries? Also it very well may have cost the GOP the illinois governor's race this time around. Brady was a terrible candidate and only barely won the GOP primary, by a few hundred votes, and he looks to have lost the general election by around 15k votes. A more moderate GOP candidate would have likely won the race going away.

Some states do not have 'closed primaries'. The XSpurt was a reflection of your quoting a 'fact' without knowing what you were talking about.

In mathematics, X is the unknown quantity and, in plumbing, a spurt is a drip under pressure.

You can smile to yourself next time someone refers to themselves as an 'expert'.

As for your theoretical voting scenario, isnt that what Rush was doing 2 years ago to try to fight a presumed Clinton presidential run?

How'd that work out?

You started this by trotting out the thoroughly discredited lie that no tea partiers are racist. When I called you on it you accused me of erecting a strawman when it was obvious to anyone who can read that you were th eone guilty of straw man tactics. You then responed by proving my point while claiming I didn't say what the plain text of the quotes you presented said. Since then you have been congratulating yourself, apparently for proving yourself wrong as near as I can tell.

Now you claim I only in one case said not all tea partiers were racists. How about in every quote you presented when quantity or proportion was mentioned? Or do you not know what the words plurality and majoirty mean?

I think politicians in general, left or right, will pander to anyone or any group they think they can sway to their side. They go after minorities, senior citizens, gays. Doesn't seem to matter and once they get the vote, they usually ignore them.
