Status: offline 		Apparently i missed the post that was deleted that caused all the uproar on his introduction so i am totally confused. I had a lot of respect for him but now don't know what to think.

Apparently he deleted it himself because it contradicted his other posts, at least that's what it sounds like if you read the posts on his introduction.

Now as to the whys. I normally would not post this, however I feel a strong need to protect the users of CM and will explain my actions. And try to outline what has happened.


As everyone knows Master Gold has been asking for advice and telling everyone on this forum that he has been trying to meet someone. The members of this site have been great at offering advice and being sympathetic.

As late as 1129 this morning he posted about still looking. And being hopeful.

Today at 446 he posted that he has someone and has had them. That he was on here trying to find a sub/slave for a "friend" of his who was really disabled and in a wheelchair. And that he had been less than honest with the members here. He offered an apology for his actions. Of course this set me off, I cannot stand lies.. especially in the forums. We all talk about the players and wannabe's on this and other sites. And strive to help others here.

I posted to him, when I hit reply and went back to the forum he had already removed the post. This said many things to me, as I am sure it would others as well. So I asked about the deletion of the post. He instantly started emailing me trying to take it private. Some would say so that he did not have to account for his actions on the board, I may tend to think this way as well.


Since the lie was to the entire community I refuse to go private with it, and I am not taking the original thread down just yet either. I spend a lot of time on this site, working on it to make it better and a great place to be. I try very hard to make sure we keep the forums clean of garbage.

I am not satisfied with the explanation I was given and think if he plans to stay in the forums he owes an apology and needs to be honest with everyone. I call bullshit when I see it. Always have and always will. Either be honest or I call you on it. I pay attention to things and what people say. I catch on to something that is wrong and I will call you on it. That's just the way I am. There are far too many liars as it is. I will not sit by and tolerate good community members being misled. And I do not tolerate backpeddeling either.


I am waiting on an explanation.

Status: offline 		Proud, I'm really kinda surprised he hasn't written you off list to apologize. He did to me and the only comments I have ever made to him was ON the forum to question how he could write in one breath that he was still looking while saying in another that he had found *her*. I'm guessing her name is Helay, since he asked me if I was Helay's friend, but I don't know anyone on this site by that name. If anyone does, perhaps they could write her and make sure she is dealing ok with all of this?

Status: offline 		I saw his faux paus post and thought to myself that he was not being honest about anything.

I have seen many times where someone plays the "pity" game to get attention and/or cyber jollies and it appeared to me that this person was playing the good folks here. Just my opinion of course, but after someone lies (online), I believe nothing they have said or will say in the future.

IMO, we witnessed another poser in action and he got caught.

Status: offline 		I have to admit, I really disappointed that Dan has chosen to *take a break* (according to his journal). When I first read his introduction, I thought he was *new*, but on further reading discovered he was here since January. He took a break from June to Sept, making the comment *when dealing with the heart, it is something no one should play games with, I was tired of that.*

I spend a lot of time with new people, and this will just be added to the list of players actions to be careful of. If Dan was doing anything more than playing for sympathy, I hope he will speak up and explain why he did what he did, and why he should be trusted...

Be careful about that. I have no doubt that I have contradicted myself at least a few times as I change my mind, get new ideas or just mind fuck myself. I'm always honest but I must sound like a lunatic at times. Can't be helped, I believe life is to be explored and exploration tends to be messy.

I know I think things out way too much most of the time. However has anyone considered he is just playing for sympathy? Its pretty common. I think someone may have said it here in this thread.
Frankly I was not impressed by the man. When he had just come out and said he was disabled...I thought that was honorable. I've been lied to before. I don't read the intro section at all, so I have no idea what played out in there.
I'd just mark it down as someone who is going to disappear. No loss. It's the people who stay and tough it out with the rest of us who deserve our well thoughts.

By the way....I want to know how Beckett even got e-mail updates..I never have.

You would hope he would just disappear, and in meat life he would be too ashamed to show his face again. But in this medium all he has to do is create another profile; instead of being disabled he can play the sympathy card by being shy or stuttering or something and nobody will be any wiser.

But for some reason it just stopped several days ago. I don't have a clue what happened. I haven't changed anything.

Re the situation with Dan, I'm just amazed. I don't know what to think about that. I didn't see the exchange either, other than his initial post, which I responded to with a welcome to the boards. However I've seen his profile on the other side for months! It seems that I see the same ones highlighted frequently when I sign on to go to collarme mail. After seeing it several times and noting that it was in dire need of editing (spelling and punctuation) I did it for him and sent the corrected copy to him in email. He thanked me and that was the end of it.

If I recall correctly his disability is Cerebral Palsy (I haven't gone back to check), but I'm sure perhaps Sundew or Stef could address this with far more knowledge than I possibly could regarding the (possible) mental/emotional aspects of this particular disability. The BDSM lifestyle is no different than any other...it attracts all kinds.

I'm certainly not defending him because I don't have a clue what happened, and I do not know him personally, but having corrected his profile some months ago, I am aware that he has some difficulty communicating effectively in type.

Are you referring to e-mail here on collarme or your own e-mail? I remember clicking that months ago as well. I've never received e-mail anywhere. Collarme has never once e-mailed my real e-mail address.
