Wasn't it a "grass roots movement with thousands of members"?

What was their impact on the election?  Where did they go?  What did they accomplish?

Didn't some of our friendly lefty posters claim it was widespread, and getting larger?  I think I read that their facebook page had a couple of hundred thousand "friends".

Never heard of it. Then again, I know quite a few people that have never heard of the tea party either.

They tried to run on the "Everyone in DC is full of beans" platform, but their platform was quickly stolen by La Raza.

I'll avoid the term "beans," since I'm Hispanic myself, but...the Tea Party and its racist ideology actually saved the Senate for the Dems!

Do Democrats owe their hold on the Senate to Hispanic voters?
Washington Post

Did Hispanics save the Senate for Democrats?

The question is being batted around as political analysts continue to crunch numbers after Tuesday's election. The widespread thumping of Democrats on Election Day stalled in Nevada, California and Colorado - all states with sizable Hispanic populations.

According to exit polls, Hispanics turned out in strong numbers in those states and were more willing than usual to support Democrats. In his Senate campaign against tea party candidate Sharron Angle, Majority Leader Harry Reid (D) won 68 percent of the Hispanic vote in Nevada - up from 60 percent in 2004. Sen. Barbara Boxer drew 65 percent of the California Hispanic vote for her win over Carly Fiorina.

Also in California, Gov.-elect Jerry Brown beat Republican Meg Whitman with the help of 64 percent of Hispanic voters. Pollsters who interview voters in both English and Spanish measured even higher support for Reid, reporting that he won 90 percent of the Hispanic vote. Turnout among Hispanics was also up in Nevada, where Hispanic voters made up about 15 percent of the electorate. (Full turnout figures for that state are not yet available.)

When the bean counting is done, how good you are with Treasure is all that matters!

The Coffee Party isn't about mindless (and racism) politics. Nor was it funnel a serious amount of funds from a large political organization. In addition, it did not recieve funds from 'anynomous' corporate and foreign donors. Finally, the Coffee Party for handling a debate in an adult fashion, where things are civiled, facts used, and personal insults are not the norm. Those would be the chief differences between it and the Tea Party.

If you wish to make some of 'The Coffee Party', based on ignorance, please contuine. Democrats need ammo for 2012.

The "Coffee Party" was the epitome of Rahm's astro-turfing efforts, and made no difference to anything. It's sole purpose was an attempt to portray "a grass roots movement" in opposition to the TEA parties, and it failed miserably, except for true believers on the left.

A shallow, "me too!" fleeting talking point that fooled no one except those who wished to be fooled.

I agree, as ignominious as the teaparty, it was.
