Some libtard would try to kill Savage. Before Super Tuesday. Ditto Anne. But it really would be soooooo much fun to watch.
Greta interviewed Trump last week. He is definately interested. Even sounded like he knew what he was talking about.

Just a little advice from a libtard, if you are going to put words in bold type you might want to be especially careful of how you spell them.

truckinslave -> RE: Campaign 012 started Wednesday (11/6/2010 1:52:31 PM)

I don't know how I missed mentioning them. They should definately be on the "watch list" I think; but DAMN we need Ryan where he is, too.

truckinslave -> RE: Campaign 012 started Wednesday (11/6/2010 1:57:18 PM)

didn't mean to misrepresent your position....

The race card is maxed out.

There are many Republicans who will not vote for a pro-abortion President. Rudy doesn't win on the national level/

I'd love to see a Rubio/Bachmann ticket, just to watch heads explode around here.

My head just exploded from reading that.

Rubio I don't agree with but at least he is normal, Bachmann is batshit crazy.

Lol, Palin's a trainwreck?
What would that make Obama, a "slow freight?" "Derailed?" "Barry the Tank Engine?"
Pleeese let Obama run in 2012 instead of Hillary!
Mike, YOU could run as a Republican in 2012 against Obama and win!

Popeye, after all your slurs against Harry Reid, and saying how there was no chance he could win, you might want to rethink these statements.

Wouldn’t it be great if both parties concentrated on solving our problems today rather than start the 2012 presidential campaign.

After that election they will start campaigning for the 2014 mid-terms…How about stop the damn campaigning and get to work doing what they were elected to do.

How about some election reform…no campaigning until 8 weeks before an election.

Butch

Butch, you and I agree completely on something for once.

It seems anymore we are in a never-ending campaign cycle and nothing gets accomplished because the whole goal is to try to discredit the other party rather than to do what is needed.

DarkSteven -> RE: Campaign 012 started Wednesday (11/6/2010 2:16:26 PM)

No mention of Bobby Jindal or Tim Pawlenty?

I'm hoping that Hillary doesn't run.  Not that I don't think she'd be a bad candidate, but the GOP has been preparing for her for many years and it would be a nasty campaign.  For the same reason, I hope that Jeb Bush keeps away.

I'd love to see Meghan McCain run some day.  She seems to epitomize, to me, the best that the GOP mindset offers.  But I doubt she wants to be more than a talking head.

Silly me...I never intended to elevate President Obama...and I'm suprised at you for doing so.

FR

If you really want to return the power to the people the solution is easy as shit, just allow the house of reps to quadruple in size to represent everyone in a better fashion, then put the fuckers on a 90 day rotation in and out of DC, with permanent "virtual" sessions able to be conducted from their "home offices.   Then double the Senate size, and make their rotation 180 days, again "virtual voting" conducted from their "home" offices.

The last portion of this effort to make our government more citizen oriented would be to BAN ALL LOBBYING OUTSIDE THE BELTWAY, if a person has to be home and hear from constituents more than 1/2 the year he/she might actually listen to "We the People"

This is very technologically feasible.

I have a few other radical ideas, but I'm not sure how they would "play in Peoria".

Needlessly complicated, Pogo, and after the hell of campaign commercials and robo-calls we've just wrapped up, why would you wish to multiply that? Now, reducing the number of citizens in the constituency of House members isn't bad, but what possible reason is there to throw out the two Senator rule? Isn't two from each state enough?

I'd rather see a shift to proprtional representation, and break the control of the two-party system.

First thing I've seen in one of these political threads that DOESN'T make me weep for the future of my country.  I've been in favor of this idea since an instructor told me about it, in High School, around '76 or so.

Pawlenty is a non entity for me, anyone who allows fuckin Al Franken steal an election in his state is worthless IMO.

HA HA HA HA HA HA  HA HA HA HA HA HA, If Franken stole his election, then the same can be said for the 2000 presidential election.  Please engage brain before making a comment like that.

TheHeretic and I were saying that the Cuda might beat 0bama0 in 2012- and I for one would enthusiastically support her if she won the nomination- but we both, I think, would rather see someone else win it. The question obviously becomes okay, then who?
I dunno.
The crop from the last cycle all seem like alsorans to me. Romney has MassCare around his neck Huckabee has, I think, used the last two years to become a much more effective speaker/campaigner- and I could surely support him as well- but I have to admit I have very personal reservations about anyone who would leave the pulpit for politics. My guy- Fred Thompson- doesn't even want it, and it showed.
Christie, I think, needs to season. Rubio, too, although maybe less so.
I heard JC Watts the other night; I've always loved the quiet competence that I hear in his voice. Like Palin, to me, a very inspiring story.

I trhink Rick Perry, Rick Santorum, and Newt are looking at running. I don't think they're likely to win. Perry, maybe.

Mitch (?) Daniels has evidently done a helluva job as Governor of Indiana.

I just dunno.

Who do you like?

Pawlenty
