It depends on the size of the cup, sword and if the female has a tilted uterus/cervix. This is only from experience that I know, but I will agree that has always been a lot less likely the excited and wet the female is.

Had this problem with my Husband/Dom when we first started out. It started several early and longer lasting periods(pms) for a while. It didn't matter what possision we were in (and there were oh so many). Freaked me out so much I went to the hospital over it. I was fine, just bruised and bloody. We took things slower and allowed my body to adjust to his size and now everything is a tight fit still but no more bruising or bleeding (in the uncomfortable bad pain kinda way). But if there's too long of a break inbetween it can be a tad uncomfortable for the first few minutes.

I have to repeat my disagreement here. If you are PROPERLY EXCITED this probably won't happen.

Look at table 1 on page 73 of this:

http://www-psych.stanford.edu/~knutson/ans/faix02.pdf

you will see preceding a series of MRI images of intercourse in various sexual positions. During heightened arousal, the woman's vaginal depth increased a LOT. This is because the cervix tilts up and the uterus tilts down, so he gets the full depth of her vaginal canal when he's not so forking eager. Not saying anything about your D, OP, just saying you have other options besides "suffer".

I'm going to second this from personal experience.  Ex husb always caused pain for about the last year and he was not overly endowed.  I'm not gonna slam his 'ability' to arouse me, but we're divorced so it's safe to say we weren't getting along so nookie wasn't that great either for the last year.

Next relationship was with a man larger than my ex I was scared it was going to hurt but this guy would consistently get me to begging for it before sex and  it never hurt.  Never.  Not once.

I'm with you, NG, it could be an arousal thing.

Having been an OB GYN facility admin and having personal experience with it several times, I suspect you may have a tilted uterus. What you are talking about seems to be common with dancers or girls in the entertainment industry that wear high heels on a long term basis. The primary symptoms of a tipped uterus (or tilted uterus) are:

Pain during sexual intercourse or dyspareunia.
Pain during menstruation or dysmenorrhea.

What is the treatment for a tipped uterus?
If you have a tipped uterus and are experiencing symptoms, your physician may recommend surgery to reposition the uterus. A uterine suspension can typically reduce the pain experienced during intercourse and/or menstruation. This surgical procedure is used to reposition a tipped uterus from its backward facing position to a forward facing position. The UPLIFT procedure is a newer and improved method of performing a uterine suspension. It has been proven to have fewer postoperative complications than other uterine suspension procedures. Uterine repositioning provides lasting pain relief in most cases of painful sex and in some cases of painful menstruation.

I am on the arousal side of things too from personal experience
Though size has a bit to do with it aswell; some people are a better fit than others.
I understand that a lot of men might prefer to think that there is something 'wrong' with their woman's uterus... rather than their love making skills and maybe some of these men might even be right...

Just a humorous aside this topic reminded me of. From the pen of the immortal Robert Burns:

Long and thin
Goes too far in
And doesn't please the ladies.
But, short and thick
It does the trick
And makes for proper babies.

The things those randomly firing associative braincells can dredge up...

There's no such thing as a 'tilted uterus': very 19th century concept. It's supposed to be tilted on its neck [the cervix]: it's all about sufficient excitation to allow the uterus and its cervix to rise.

That's funny; I was told a mere 25 years ago, upon repeated examination by health-care professionals before and after the birth of my first child, that I have a tilted uterus. It is, in fact, tilted so that my cervix points rather more toward the back of my body than is the case with most women. I was told this is very rare but should theoretically present me no issues, and it hasn't so far..

Has anyone came across the problem where ur cervix is actually being hit during sex??? i didnt know this was possible and afterwards it really hurts!! does it ever go away?

Greetings BbcSlutKc,

I've experienced this in the past on different occasions. In my situation it had nothing to do with the individual's girth but the actual length instead and the depth of penetration. As you're aware the vagina's composition is unique for everyone. Although I've given birth I had a very difficult time doing so due to my physical makeup. Much like you I don't suffer from tilting but I'm extremely narrow and deep thrusting can be uncomfortable on occasion in spite of arousal. Changing positions and utilizing exercises to strengthen your muscles can help. You may also wish to alternate tempo and encourage him to provide deep and shallow thrusts during intercourse. Best of luck.

Namaste,

~porcelaine

You can have kids and still have a medical issue such as was discussed.  Have you let your OB/Gyn know you are experiencing pain during intercourse?  If we have to read again how endowed this person is, we may well think you posted this to brag.
You were given a variety of advice, from helpful and wise people.
Talk to your man, your doctor and look into the Kama Sutra at book stores.  It gives numerous examples and illustrations.
Good luck.

Really?

"A retroverted uterus is a womb that is tilted backwards inside the pelvis. In the majority of women, the uterus is tilted forwards but one woman in five has a retroverted uterus. This is in contrast to the slightly "anteverted" uterus that most women have, which is tipped forward toward the bladder, with the anterior end slightly concave. A tilted uterus or tipped uterus are other names for a retroverted uterus."

'Cervical' as in cervix means neck: a neck is mobile. The uterus can tilt back and forth, and rises and falls with sexual excitement and pregnancy. Anteversion and retroversion is normal, and not necessarily fixed or permanent, unless it's caused by a mass like fibroids or pregnancy.

So saying a 'tilted uterus' in isolation as a medical condition is very 19th century. Thousands of woman had unnecessary surgery and stress from being told this even into the late 20th century, so please don't propogate ignorance.

That's where 'hysterical' comes from; the ancient greeks thought the womb [hysterixis] was too mobile in young girls and caused them to be emotional, and should be fixed down by getting pregnant as soon as possible.

So the 3 links including The Mayo Clinic are wrong?

It is a common anatomical variation.

In some women it can cause pain during intercourse.

Maybe you need to educate OB/Gyns then. You have been given four different links that refute what you say, and you have provided what to support what you say?

I gotcher mayo right here!

Answer
from Sandhya Pruthi, M.D.
Tipped uterus
A tilted uterus, also called a tipped uterus or retroverted uterus, is a normal anatomical variation and shouldn't interfere with your ability to conceive.

In most women, the uterus tips forward at the cervix. In nearly 20 percent of women, however, the uterus leans backward, or tilts, at the cervix. In the past, it was thought that a tilted uterus may contribute to infertility. But experts now know that the position of the uterus doesn't affect the ability of sperm to reach an egg.
Rarely, a sharply tilted uterus may be due to a disease such as endometriosis. In this case, endometriosis — not the position of the uterus — may cause infertility.
