Just wondering if anyone else has experienced another Collarme user who has talked negatively about you on this site. A previous acquaintence of mine (of whom I no longer speak with for various reasons) has listed in her journal an entry telling others to stay away from me, and has even specifically listed my name. I do realize this is against this site's policy to do such a thing, yet it has been three days since I reported it and nothing has been done as of this very moment. Does anyone here know how long something like this generally takes before it is addressed by the powers that be?

I wouldn't worry a whole lot about it.
When it comes to your character and reputation,
your actions speak much louder than your enemies.

IMO, IMHO, YMMV, AFAIK, to me, I see it as, from my perspective, it's been my experience, I only speak for myself, (and all other disclaimers here).

I absolutely agree with you. I was just curious about this, as it seems reasonable to assume such of a thing doesn't (or shouldn't have) have much tolerance here.

Besides, I have already found the person I have waited a lifetime for, so it truly has no bearing on my search for that special someone. It's just so sad to see such.

Several threads on this old chum, maybe a puller will find you some.

Consensus seemed to be to make the duck's back.  Idiots and assholes shine brightly in the garish light of day, makes em rather easy to spot and then the aggrieved party assumes stature with the innateness of being.

Fuck 'em... if you are looking for the bottom line.  Let them be the flash in the pan.

I understand your position completely...I was shot down in a flaming blaze...all because a relationship ended...the person had so much support from so many...I felt as if I'd actually commited the offenses....even my simple posts asking that personal family information not be posted...was met with...these people sure are great entertainment...it wasn't funny to me then...and the emotional wounds inflicted by some on here will not be soon forgotten...(yes ladies..we men also suffer a loss when it happens)....but... I also asked the site mods to end that thread as it was just a simple personal attack.....let's just say..after a couple of weeks and about 15 pages..the mods finally stepped in and said enough was enough....

with the encouragement of some who I'd met on and off this site..( they knew my real essence)...I came back to this site...wiser..and much more aware of the nature of online interaction....

just stay strong...remain true to yourself...and the rest will sort itself out in the end....as I learned...you don't have to defend yourself against anyone or anything except your opinions on here...

pulling my cloak around me and stepping back into the shadows to lurk...

It has been my experience that "most" people on CM who have been around for any period of time simply ignore or look badly on a person who posts such a thing.

They often look vengeful and angry for doing so. People are not blind or naive to possible motives for statements slandering another. Though they may at times be true, people simply have learned not to take everything at face value on 1 persons opinion or statements of "facts"

What's strange to me MstrFury, is that I don't think anything at all about that thread (and I bet no one else does either) until YOU remind me of it.  I can't think of a single post of YOURS in the last couple of months that hasn't mentioned it.  I wonder...why do you want us to keep remembering it?

I have, i've had one person in particular, who has sent me threats and insults.
*shrug*
i don't know the person, other than there very antogonistic view of me, i don't have any things against them.
people are weird.

Reminds me of a couple of guys I knew many and many a year ago.  One was named Barry Fields.  The other's name was James Corn.  Barry hated the song, "Strawberry Fields Forever."  James hated "Jimmy Crack Corn."  The both made such a fuss about those songs that whenever a person encountered one them, the tune would immediately get stuck in his brain.  And you know how it is when you get a tune stuck in your head.  Sooner or later, you're going to start humming, whistling or singing it.

DISCLAIMER:  The Barry Fields I'm speaking of has been dead for many years.  The James Corn I'm speaking of, I have had no contact with in three decades.  To the absolute best of my knowledge NEITHER of them is a member of collarme.com.  Any resemblance between them and any members of collarme.com is totally unintended and completely coincidental.

At least it was visible.
Who knows what goes on in the background? It is a wise thing for people to use the network to find out things about people. But it is also very difficult to weed out personal rants from real character information.

Many pounds of salt to be taken as people search out info on anyone.

I had stopped posting on the boards here a month or so ago.I keep up on the subject matter as much as time permits

On any boards, on any subject, there is a great variety of both negative and positive input. The difference I see, is on an alternate lifestyle format the truth and integrity of the poster's should be of a higher value then vanilla sites. The vanilla world often sees us as odd balls or a skew of society. I have read nationally published articles where our lifestyle has been basically blamed for a variety of social ills. Of course this is nonsense, however the public often believes what they read verbatium. Based on the misinformed or prejudiced views many have, we all should be aware and proud of our individual honesty and integrity.

I have seen a few personal disputes aired in public on this site. A few of them seemed to be resolved because of the input of our peers. I suggest the monitors of this fine site create or allow a thread to aire anything. A warning could be added ,that the thread can be of a very personal nature. I truely believe the truth will always come into the light, it may take awhile, but it does. This is the place for us like minded folk to come and share, who else understands.

Standing in the light.

Be well.

No criticism of other users, vulgarity, or illegal activities.

nastyslavebitch,

The above is taken from CMs notice when you got to make a journal entery. I am sorry you may feel you are hurt , pissed or even upset. However, I read your profile and I personally think that the mods should either make you change it or remove it.Though that is just my opinion.
