I am interested in most religions but I'm not a religious person. Many religions are abound with historical documentation and other religions are linked to one another with similar historical stories. I'm probably more interested in Paganism more than anything else...perhaps that's the Celtic blood in me! I like the way Pagans live their lives attuned to the cycles of Nature, the seasons, life and death. but I prefer to keep an open mind and not get struck with any one thing.

Well, let's go out for a beer.

I'll take you to to a few biker bars I know.

I'm sure they will all be interested in your perspective.

I'm so not into the smell of B.O. Or closets

But rest assured the term "Chromosexual" was invented for Harley riders for a reason.

God will forgive you anything.

Except bell-bottoms and performing mime.

God hates those.

And shrimp!

What does God have against shrimp?

Didn't he create them?

And he created cocktail sauce so we would have something to dip them in.

I don't know, sounds like chrome envy to me, sort of the equivalent of penis envy.

Considering most Japanese bikes are cheap plastic there isn't a lot that can be chromed.

But we are seriously derailing this thread.

If you want to discuss it more let's resurrect FDD's motorcycle thread instead of hijacking this one, which was my fault for starting it.

I'm ignoring your comment about Japanese bikes so that I don't have to declare a jihad

We're doing this dull, predictable and humourless thread a major favour.

If it was a horse, they'd shoot it.

But yeah, I'll only end up smiting someone if this anti-Japanese bike thing continues, so let's return the sheep to their usual programming

God's in no hurry, and he likes people to hear him coming, so a Harley is just perfect.

OK, I said I was going to stop but I can't let this one go.

How in the world do you guys find Harleys loud as compared to the high pitched whine of crotch-rockets?

Different kind of loud, Rule... You know... a wildly beautiful thunderstorm versus the shrieking fishwife upstairs...

That makes sense . I can imagine a preference for the quieter ride, and trip time isn't an issue for an eternal being.

As to the OP question, that's hard to answer because, of  the people I deal with regularly outside of family or close acquaintances, I'm not aware of how many are atheists or if or what spiritual understanding they may have, other than a small percentage of the latter.  I know which people are easier or more difficult to get along with and I might have an opinion of what I think of them generally, but to address the OP question I would have to inquire to each of them to find out which ones are atheists and then match that up with the overall opinion I have of them, so ...  (not gonna happen ... )

Can't say, actually.

One would think an omnipotent omniscient creator would manage not to fuck everything up but apparently shrimp are an abomination.

I favor this sentiment. All the more for me. Is there anything in Leviticus about filet mignon?

But then you have to listen to all that damn braying.

I would almost prefer the crotch-rocket.

No, not really, I think I would stick with the donkey.

Donkeys braying
