ORIGINAL: DomKen Funny how the supposed "democrats" who wrote the op ed work for FNC and not for any actual Democrats. ya know...OK... funny how it appeared in the Washington Post but OK... its another FOX conspiracy. You apparently are blissfully unaware that the editorial page of the Post is pretty right wing. They are a neocon AIPAC outfit, and are not happy that Obama hasn't sufficiently kowtowed to Israel. They cheerled us into Iraq and to my knowledge have never admitted it was anything but a smashing idea since. In any case, both of these authors left the Democratic party years ago. They've spent recent years appearing on Fox, supporting Republican candidates and bashing everything the Democrats do. I loved their dripping "just an innocent suggestion, just trying to be helpful" tone in the piece. It was worthy of Bill O'Reilly's "I'm not saying Obama hates white people, I'm just noting blah blah blah...". Oh these goons also speak at some really out-there right wing "retreats". Yeah, they're Democrats. And I'm the Queen of England. More on the farce: http://mediamatters.org/blog/201011150035 quote:
Schoen donated to one GOP congressional candidate this cycle, and headlined a fundraiser for a second. In February, Caddell was fired from the campaign of Colorado Democratic Senate candidate Andrew Romanoff after video emerged of Caddell at a conservative retreat saying that "[t]he whole idea of the environmental movement" is "to basically deconstruct capitalism." We're shown how on issue after issue, it's difficult to find daylight between the commentary of Schoen and Caddell and that of Rush Limbaugh and other right-wing figures. Caddell has accused Obama of conducting a "Potemkin village presidency" and "Chicago gangsterism." Schoen has claimed that the "real question" raised by the White House's actions is "Is this a democracy?" And on, and on, and on. Some more - http://mediamatters.org/blog/201007280042
