TeeGO -> RE: Topping Myself: Losing Weight (4/28/2006 8:15:17 PM)

Let me chime in. In the last year I have regained about 20-30 pounds of muscle mass through weight training. I've gone from 330 lbs. to under 270lb with exercise and low carb dieting. I feel better and look better than I have since my 20's. I owe a lot of my success to me mentor-Dom as she always keeps me on the path I want to stay on. I have a lot of work to do yet, but having gone from a coach potato tub of lard to a somewhat athletic look again is a great feeling.

I want to say great job on every bodys weight loss. I have struggled with being heavy my whole life and I am very good at loosing weight. I loss 45 pounds in the last 15 months. I know you dont end up being heavy in one days time so you will never loose it in one days time. I use a daily walking and weekend hiking routine combined with a diet. I watch my fat intake Mon-thru Fri. and I treat myself to anything I want on the weekends. It takes sheer discipline because I will hike when it is 10 degrees out. You can cheat and mall walk when it is raining hard lol. The power and confidence you gain from loosing weight and feeling and looking good is out of this world. You get compliments from friends you even get a cocky strut sometimes because your walk is springy lol. I dont agree with stomach weight loss surgery some one else is making you loose the weight instead of your self.

I did once use my role as Dominant to get a submissive to lose weight. it was kind of fun for a while, but took too much micro-management which is not my style.

That's the key - as a sub you have have to like it and the dominant person has to be into it too, at that level. Luckily I do and some men like that control. Control is the centre of my DDBSM inclination, nothing is as erotic and the men I see and see are the same. If I text someone to say I've eaten X and that control arouses me and arouses him, then it's good. If either party isn't into that or the sub has mental issues/psychological problems relating to weight, as many women do, then it's not going to work.

Control of what she eats, drinks, does, wears.... very erotic. I've always found it my best diet tool. I'm trying to lose about 14 pounds at the moment and it is  male control over it makes it so much easier and it eroticises it too which is great.

On the general thread theme I absolutely agree. I am afraid I am not sexually attracted to obese men however dominant they are and I think if I can control, reasonably well, what I put into my mouth I don't see why they can't, never mind the long term health risks of obesity etc.

PS - well done on your own efforts.

I started walking. Well I now weigh 230lbs and the weight is staying off because I made these changes in my life and I plan to keep them in place. Changing your eating habits and exercise is the way to go, those special foods, pills, fad diets etc.. are only a temporary fix.

Kudos to everyone who thinks like this and has made the necessary adjustments. As someone who truly believes physical fitness and eating right cures most ailments, it’s great to hear these success stories.

Walking can really be fun if you know how to make it that way. Take a partner, the dog or walk downtown at night and do a little window/antique shopping. It's surprising how much territory one can cover and never even notice the elapsed time if the ''walk'' is made interesting. [;)]

The best way to change behaviour in another is to model it yourself .. works well with offspring too ;]

All the reasons are the same: for health, for attractiveness, for ease of movement, but most importantly, for self discipline!

heheh .. there's also stamina and that marvelous endorphin rush to add as benefits!

Have others here used BDSM either to slim or to encourage your submissives to slim? Or have your Tops encouraged you subs and slaves to slim in this manner? What techniques work for you?

When I quit smoking cigarettes 5 years ago, my weight ballooned up 50 pounds. Since then, with small successes and some set-backs, I have lost 60. And yes BDSM in a way helped discipline me to do what I already knew what I had to do, being a biologist and all that.

My weight had always somewhat yoyo'd, but BC [ie, Before Child] was into doing weights and man was I cut! heheh .. AC [After Child], I settled into a little bit higher set point but still within the yellow zone of my BMI ... losing the cigarettes, dealing with the loss of a lover and a best friend, misdiagnosed ADD (docs thought it was depression and anti-Ds only added to the weight problem), plus issues with the child's father .. and whammy! I hit 30 pounds more than my highest pregnancy weight!

My partner at the time did not threaten me .. rather he took me shopping and purchased a scale. Every morning, I was to go take a walk .. went from 20 to 45 minutes within a month or so, and started doing hills then circuits. After the walk, we would talk .. the first thing he would have me do is strip and weigh. It did not matter what I weighed, just as long as I was aware .. and could see how the small changes were working and also how my weight fluctuated throughout the day and after say him taking me for dim sum and =) feeding me.

When I had lost 25, he said if I lost 10 more he would give me a vertical hood … and I’m terrified of piercings! Heheh .. well, not any more. Even though we split about 2 months after that, I kept the piercing =) for a while. I also kept up my record keeping .. ie, an excel sheet with my weight, projected goals into the future, what type of exercise I was doing.

Mixing the exercising up helps too .. I would walk most every day, some days do aerobics, others eliptical, a weight program interspersed, and each workout followed up by an intense s-t-r-e-t-c-h-i-n-g session. I adore yoga .. and variety =) .. gardening is good at this time of year, as are home renovations in the fall heheheh ...

So a variety of techniques have worked, and are still working. I don't weigh myself every day anymore, yet I know I'm hovering about 175 .. which is back in the yellow zone. I'm aiming for 169 (heheh, cause being 1.69 metres, this would make me well-rounded) .. hmmm wonder what I shall reward myself for getting there?

Enjoy the day .. I'm off to rip out some sod, and do some landscaping =)

On the subject of walking. This year will be my 3rd year doing a 60 mile walk to raise money and awareness for breast cancer. This year is different because my fiance will be walking with me. There is a lot of training involved to be able to walk 20  miles a day for 3 days and it's a wonderful way to bond. We walk and talk about everything under the sun and before we know it we have been walking for 4 hours! Having an exercise partner is the key. When Jim isn't with me the dog is. She is a great pace setter. The trick is to just walk a little more each day. It becomes second nature. i do my best thinking when i am walking and i am so glad spring is here. i really don't like Chicago winters!

I started my new healthy lifestyle with my Dom on March 20th. We do a low carb diet and we exercise 6 days a week. Well we are taking off today but 3 hours in bed this morning should count for something! [:D]

Can use up a lot of calories - add it in.  You may need to balance that against any injested... which... ahem depends if you swallow.
[Sub to dom...I had to spit. I'm on a diet]

LadySonelle -> RE: Topping Myself: Losing Weight (5/8/2006 5:17:59 PM)

Well, I've added a new toy to My workout! I got a stationary exercise bicycle! It has upper body workout bars (reciprocal motion with the flywheel pedals) and it takes a lot of calories!

Best of all, it was free from the Yahoo FreeCycle group! I have it set up in My computer room/office and will be working out on it daily (now I don't have any excuse to avoid it!).

DominantDirector -> RE: Topping Myself: Losing Weight (5/9/2006 2:47:38 PM)

I never made a sub lose weight, but I do have the experience of doing it for myself in the past year.  I went from about 187 lbs and out of shape at 25% or so body fat eighteen months ago and lost about sixty five pounds of fat and gained about fifteen pounds of muscle (a net loss of almost fifty pounds) to get myself to the best shape of my life, now 142 lbs, approx 11% body fat and kinda ripped.  A combo of weightlifting, cardio and a healthy diet with all your calories accounted for  are the  keys to success. Now I am totally into the health lifestyle and I feel and am told that I look better now at thirty-seven than I did in my twenties.

Congratulations to all.  I've been sticking to mine and this just gives me more incentive.

Protein shakes, smoothies and soy will help in the right combinations.

Sinergy -> RE: Topping Myself: Losing Weight (5/9/2006 7:23:45 PM)

Hello,

Congratulations on your weight loss.

I realized when I became an adult that history teachers and computer engineers tend to be pudgy and out of shape. I did not see that as a future I wanted to have, so I started doing martial arts and exercise at the age of 18 and have continued to this day.

Now as a longshoreman unloading ships I tend to pick jobs which involve lots of exercise and moving around (sometimes to obscene levels) and my self defense trainer-ing tends to keep me in good shape.

One thing that has always struck me about people I have met, is how rigidly they demand to have the socialized ideal of a woman (or man) with a BMI of 3 and the buff and chiselled look of a professional athlete.  This would not mean much, except the person demanding that is often 100 or more pounds overweight and has never even looked at a treadmill or walked away from a desert tray.

From my perspective, a person who lets themself go really doesnt set much of a good example of a person who is in control of things.

Just me, could be wrong, but there you go.

Sinergy

"Topping Myself"

It sounds like you're trying to commit suicide. lol  Not that suicide is a funny thing.

Sorry. I have nothing constructive to say, other than the fact that you made me giggle. [:D]
Oh, and awesome avator!  Buffy, I do believe. [sm=smile.gif]

buffiyum -> RE: Topping Myself: Losing Weight (5/10/2006 7:48:58 PM)

Congratulations Lady Sonelle Ma'am!!
buffy could stand to lose 30 pounds and yet so far, she has not had the inner fortitude to do that alone. When one was in collar, it was somehow a lot easier to do things which now, when one is not-in-collar, seem very very difficulte. It is all very odd.
In truth tho, she is working on losing this weight to get back to her optimum perfect weight for her height and  is making it her project-of-the-heart (literally), right up there with her search-for-The-One. This time next year.... when buffy will turn sideways, she will disappear (well ok, excepte for the boobs, .... chances are, them suckers wont disappear any time soon).
You have given buffy inspiration and for that, she thanks You a lot!
Good luck and well wishes Ma'am,
respectfully
buffy
